Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st Rate Must Have Addition to 055CXPRO3 The Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 is a terrific carbon fiber tripod, but it comes with little rubber bumper cups like you would find on an inexpensive item of lightweight furniture. These retractable spike feet tightly fit onto the carbon tripod legs and are then very securely fastened with set screws (screwdriver provided!). The result is a much more secure flat based shoe (when dialed to full extension) and a very aggressive spike (when dialed to full retraction)... they are a really indispensable addition to the tripod. (I love Manfrotto's tripod 401N carrier made for this unit as well. These 2 adds make the whole unit fabulous.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Grip I wanted to create an outdoor tripod from a Manfrotto 3021 BPRO. The adjustable spike exposure and rubber base are identical to feet found on some wood tripods. The spiked feet arrived in a small bag with an installation screwdriver. In less than 10 minutes, they were installed. I find them better at resisting slip on smooth surfaces (spikes retracted) than the original rubber end caps. Note, always check the adjustment of the feet before setting up on sensitive indoor surfaces. Also, the feet add about 1.5 of length to the tripod so if you have a tight fit now with the rubber end caps and tripod head, you may need a longer tripod bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice addition to 055XPROB Manfrotto tripod Works as advertised, easy to put on, nice Manfrotto screwdriver included with the kit. Tripod looks, feels and performs better with these on, so I'm very happy with my purchase. Also got the equivalent for an older 190 Manfrotto tripod (which I bought in 1988 and is still in service), but last time I checked those were marked as no longer available by B&H. That tripod had lost two of the bottom rubber caps, so spiked feet were a great addition and I'm glad I got them while B&H still had them in stock. Make sure you get the right model for your tripod as diameter may change. Great B&H service and delivery, as usual!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent option... These spiked feet are a good replacement for the standard plastic-cap feet found on a number of the Manfrotto 055 and venerable Bogen Manfrotto 3021 tripods. The screw-tightening setup makes installation easy, and they seem to stay on fine. Admittedly, at more than $ for each little foot, they're not especially cheap. Still, their thick hard-rubber material promises to wear better than the standard non-spiked feet, which are renowned for wearing through to the aluminum tubing. And, of course, when you're in the outback and you need those spikes, they'll be there for you! Besides, they look cool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worthy of a great tripod For the 055CXPRO3, tripod legs, I had wanted some spare stock feet. Somewhat reluctantly I ordered a set of these. And now I don't want the stock feet. No fuss installation. The rubber bumper stock feet of my 055CXPRO3 were not glued on. Take care when tightening the clamps. Carbon fiber is a plastic. One last word. I thought this accessory would give my elegant high tech tripod an ugly appearance. But actually they look as if they belong on there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works on 3221WN I have a Manfrotto 3221WN tripod bought years ago that still holds up great. It's built like a tank. It has feet that convert from rubber bottoms to spikes that work well for soft ground and rugs (but scratch hard floors). The conversion works by screwing the rubber feet in to reveal the spike that pokes through. When you reverse the motion and unscrew, the rubber feet extend beyond the spike and hide it inside the feet, protecting floors from scratches. They are constructed to stop unscrewing at the right point. Unfortunately one of mine broke through and kept unscrewing, and the rubber part was lost. For years I looked for the replacement part but the 3221WN was discontinued and it was hard to find out the part number. Well, I finally found it. After years, I identified that this is the part that fits. The kit comes with three spike/rubber foot assemblies and a small screwdriver. It's very easy to install and works great! No more scratching or slipping on hard floors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the stuff I don't understand why this is not standard equipment on Manfrotto tripods. Makes for a more solid and versatile tripod footprint on varied terrain, from river rocks to tile floors. I use the 055PROB and this is an overdue addition. You want 'em.
