PocketWizard PW-CASE-2 reviews

G-Wiz Case is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good case This case holds two pocket wizards or multimax's. It has a small zipper inside and one on the outside. You can fit PC cords or gel in the outside pocket and something small in the inner pocket. It's padded well, the construction is very good. The pocket wizards sit snugly inside. My gripe is that it's expensive for what it is. If it were about 1/4 of the price I think it would be just right. It also seems to be a little big, but I guess it needs to be in order to fully accommodate two pocket wizards. In addition, the outer pocket is very tight. You wouldn't, for example, be able to fit an Omnibounce in it or any other lighting accessories. It seems to be strictly for gels or small cords. On the plus side, it protects the PocketWizards very well, the design is nice, the zippers work great, and overall I am quite happy. I will be ordering two more for my remaining PW's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but... The G-Wiz is very durable and will protect your precious pocket wizards, but it's very bulky to fit in your camera bag and you have to shove the FlexTT5 to place it inside. I recommend it only if you have enough space in your camera bag, and you don't mind to squeeze a place for the FlexTT5.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Idea but "Misrepresented" I'll give this 3 stars simply for the Idea of needing a protective cover for their products, however the capacity of this little case is rather misstated. I tried to use the case for 2 Flex TT6's for Canon but it was a struggle to get both inside and I was extremely worried about possible damage to the hot shoe contacts trying to force them in. The little zipper on the small internal pocket is also flimsy and cumbersome. I was able to fit one Mini and a Flex TT6 in one of these without much struggle, but again, the listed capacity is pushing it two extremes. I did buy a second for the other Flex TT6 alone. This little case needs to be slightly larger to comfortably accommodate their products as stated.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Protects P Wizards I got two, planning ahead for future PW additions. I think they are a bit overpriced, but they are well made and fit snugly into the camera bag. The inner zippered storage could've been designed better. It's large enough to hold short cords and even a hot shoe, but it doesn't zip/unzip very easily. Overall I'm pleased. PW aren't cheap, but another 20 bucks or so is worth it to ensure safe keeping and traveling for the PWs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from PocketWizard plus 111 I am using two PocketWizards plus 111, and I find this case a little constricting, not much room for the cables, and it's hard to get in to the case. The case should open like most backpacks, the zipper should go about 3/4 of the way around the case

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice accessory I have a flex and a mini.... adding another flex soon.. So far it's great. Don't have to worry about where they are and what they are banging against in my bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use Protection! I own the Pocket Wizard II system. There have been times when I'm shooting a wedding and because of time elements I have put my transceivers in my large roller case and they get bounced around. Both my transceivers fit in the G-Wiz case and there is a large loop that will fit on a belt, a photo bag, lighting pole. It's great! It protects, and keeps my PocketWizard set up ready to go as well as keeping them clean from the typical elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected I assumed these cases would be your standard, semi-generic feeling soft case for PocketWizard's, but they're even better than I expected. These cases have a rigid and protective build to them. They also have a small pocket on the inside for sync cables. They also hold my Flex TT5 quite well too, along with my Plus II's. There's also a heavier duty loop on the back as well as a small carabiner.
