  • Recording Resolution 704 x 576 (PAL)
The Pelco DX4004CD-500 4-Channel DVR with 500GB internal storage is an entry-level digital video recorder that works with the existing broadband networks. The DVR supports four camera inputs, four audio inputs, one audio output, and one relay output.

The MPEG-4 compression enables you to view and control the system across a local or wide area network. Additionally, the compression produces a smaller file size allowing relatively longer video storage times than that of traditional DVR formats. Able to record at resolutions up to 704 x 480 (NTSC), the 4-Channel DVR records up to 120 images per second (IPS) in CIF resolution. This enables full motion video recording with inputs being adjusted on a per input basis.

The unit allows you to control Pan, Tilt, and Zoom (PTZ) functions either locally or remotely via Pelco D and Pelco P Protocols. The ability to address and control Spectra domes and Esprit positioning systems makes the DVR a control point for all the surveillance needs.

The 4-Channel DVR has many features that would benefit security professionals. It has a watermarking technology that ensures the captured video is not modified in any way. In addition, it captures log entries that detail all the faults or user-initiated changes to the system. The unit's spot monitor can be mounted for full public view. This would deter any would-be criminals. The main monitor output can be viewed in either full screen or quad format. The unit can even trigger alarms and initiate recording on motion detection or external contacts.

With the main monitor configurable, the DVR supports multiple camera displays and live or playback video. The DVR allows video critical for investigations and archiving to be effortlessly exported to a USB memory device or an optional CD-RW or DVD-RW.
