The Pelco DX4508250 8-Channel DVR (250GB) offers a recording resolution of 704 x 480 at 480 ips and captures clear images and footage for later use and retrieval. Each input can be set up independently for security application requirements for video retention. MPEG-4 compression allows you to view and control the DVR across local or wide area networks.
Recording of multiple events can be triggered by an alarm, event, or motion, turning the DX4508250 into an automated monitoring system. Events can be notified by e-mail, emergency agent, or sounder. Channel resolution, quality, and frame-rate settings can be configured on each camera to record when triggered by an event. Imported video can be easily reviewed, and exported to an optional USB memory device. Hard disk space can be allocated for storing continuous video data and event-initiated video data via user-configurable disk partitioning. Live viewing and video playback for up to 16 DX4508250 series servers is possible via the remote client. Multiscreen live and playback video can be displayed using the PiP (Picture-in-Picture) setting. It also offers a multilingual (OSD) on-screen display and supports web client.
PTZ equipment such as Spectra domes and Esprit positioning systems as well as third-party cameras can be controlled via the DX4508250 DVR. Protocols including the Pelco C (Coaxitron), Pelco D, and Pelco P are supported by the DVR. Pelco C protocol allows you to operate Pelco PTZ cameras up to a distance of 1,500’ (457 m). The DX4508250 8-channel DVR is equipped with 4 audio inputs, 1 audio output, 16 alarm inputs, and up to 4 relay outputs. Front panel buttons, a remote control keypad, and mouse allow for easy control.
