The Hitachi KP-F32F is a high performance camera optimized for use in machine vision, factory automation, traffic surveillance and similar image processing environments. Through the use of a 1/2" imager along with progressive scan technology, this camera is able to produce outstanding quality images and is particularly adept at providing high vertical resolution of moving objects. An IEEE-1394.b interface provides a high speed digital connection between the camera and the image processing PC, precluding the need for separate video and control cables. Hitachi also designed it with a compact and rugged body, so that it can be used in confined spaces and with heavy duty equipment.
Daisy Chain Support
Two high speed IEEE1394.b (800 Mbps) connectors are featured in the back of the camera. One is for interfacing the camera to the processing computer and one is for connecting two cameras to each other. The ability to daisy chain cameras will allow multiple cameras to connect to the system PC via a single cable, greatly simplifying the installation process. This same cable is also used to power and control the camera, further reducing the camera's physical size requirements.
Compact & Rugged Design
With its small and durable body, this camera can be used in confined spaces and with heavy-duty machinery.
Frame-on-Demand Function
A frame-on-demand function is available for capturing moving objects at a desired timing. In the one trigger mode of operation, the rising edge of the trigger pulse starts the exposure, the duration of the trigger pulse controls the integration time, and the falling edge of the trigger pulse resets vertical
sync and delivers the triggered image. The camera can also be operated in a fixed shutter mode or a reset control mode. A CD ROM with the driver and viewer programs is provided with the camera.
