The Hitachi KP-FD202GV is a high performance CCTV camera optimized for use in factory automation, machine vision and similar image processing environments. Aside from its outstanding image quality and signal stability, Hitachi provided it with an assortment of features unique to the image processing industry. These include 6 color independent masking, auto shading, frame on demand, and the ability to withstand short-term shock and vibration.
Gigabit Ethernet Interface
Direct connection is possible to the PC by the Gigabit Ethernet cable. This cable is less bulky when compared with parallel digital output cabling. GigE cable length can be extended to a maximum distance of 328' (100 m) without the need for a hub and switcher.
6-Vector Color Masking
A six vector color corrector allows the independent adjustment of the hue and saturation of the three primary (RGB) and three supplementary (Cy/Mg/Ye) colors of an image. This is an important feature in numerous industrial environments. For example, it can be used in a fruit packaging plant to differentiate between subtle shades of red in an apple, and that way determine the apple's ripening stage.
GenICam Compliant
This camera complies with GenICam, a machine vision control standard hosted by the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA).
Frame-on-Demand Function
An external trigger device can be used to capture images with a varied or fixed exposure time determined by the pulse timing received by the trigger.
