The SAT 5 MK II from Blue Sky International is a high-quality active nearfield satellite monitor that offers clean, accurate sound reproduction and a compliment of other features. The speaker has a 5.25" hemispherical woofer and a 0.75" dual concentric diaphragm tweeter with an integrated waveguide that offers excellent off-axis response. The unit is powered by a pair of 60W amps with a computer-optimized electronic crossover to provide powerful audio with low distortion.
The rear panel offers a voltage selector switch, gain control, input attenuator, and an 80Hz high pass filter switch for full optimization. Input is via a balanced XLR connector for wide compatibility, and the speaker is magnetically shielded for safe use near video monitors. The SAT 5 MK II also has M6 x 12mm mounting inserts, allowing attachment of OmniMount type 30 or Powerdrive WHO 75 type brackets.
