The Sony MKS-8700 is an optional Device Control Unit Processor designed for use with the MVS-8000 switcher. It accepts plug-in boards to add tally, GPI and/or device control capabilities to an MVS-8000 system. The unit features three types of reference inputs: BNC loop-through, HD Tri-level Sync (HDTV only), Analog Black Burst or Sync.
Each MKS-8700 chassis can hold up to 15 Device Control Unit Option cards. Up to two MKS-8700 chassis may be connected to each control panel on an MVS-8000 system.
