The Impact 5-Lamp Fluorescent Cool Light Diffusion Kit gives you great flexibility at an excellent price: 2 daylight-balanced fluorescent light heads (variable across 3 f-stops), 2 light stands, and 2 diffusers to soften the light. Each light head holds 5 lamps (for a total of 150 watts), and each lamp can be turned on/off separately to increase or decrease the overall light output. An 18.5" reflector provides wide, even coverage, and an included internal diffusion panel can be used to further soften the light. A fabric diffusion sock that fits over the front of the light is included for further light diffusion, with a 1/2-stop loss of light.
The Impact 5-Lamp Fluorescent Cool Light accepts screw-in fluorescent lamps. Independent switches on the rear of the unit vary light output across a three f-stop range by selecting between one, two, three, four, or all five lamps.
This 150-watt fluorescent head provides 7500 lumens, and is 5500K daylight balanced without the need for conversion filters.
The angle of the head is easily adjusted with its tilting 5/8" light stand mount and convenient positioning handle.
Separate power switches mounted on the rear allow "dimming" of this fixture.
The 18.5" reflector provides wide, even coverage, and an included internal diffusion panel can be used to further soften the light.
Includes a 13' detachable grounded power cord.
Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8')
This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
Protects equipment from impact damage.
Will fit easily into most location cases.
Eases positioning of heavy lights.
Available as accessories.
Impact 18" Diffuser Sock
This 18" Diffuser Sock from Impact is a 18" nylon fabric light softener ringed with strong elastic for a snug fit around standard-sized light head reflectors. This convenient diffuser softens light output by creating a larger light surface across the face of the reflector, bathing your subject in a diffuse light that's perfect for portrait or beauty photography and video. It installs in seconds, and is a handy way to quickly diffuse a light source, when setting up a softbox or using a handheld diffuser is impractical.
Diffuser Socks are stackable, offering the capability to increase the diffusion effect by adding additional socks over the first. Each layer of diffusion reduces light output by 1-stop. The nylon fabric is heat resistant and won't yellow or burn from the heat of your flash, studio strobe modeling light, or a cool light source, like LED or fluorescent lights.
Intended for use on flash heads, LED sources, or fluorescent sources. Do not use on continuous hot light sources like halogen, tungsten, or HMI lamps.
I take pictures of newly constructed custom homes for the builders website. I have been looking for ways to take my images to the next level. The last upgrade was a kit for doing off camera remote flash through an umbrella, this has worked but I still am unable to illuminate an entire room evenly with this one flash. I am investigating continuous lighting options to make placements of lights easily done be seeing the light cast visually without having to take numerous images before dialing in exposures and light positioning. Do the lights in IMVA9032LDK Mfr # VA903-2KII kit provide wide spread even illumination? Would two of these lights positioned properly be able to evenly illuminate a large say 24 ft by 24ft room with 16' ceilings? Would three of them do the trick? What other options would work for my situation as these homes have a lot of custom features including ones that are small enough to require perfect illumination at the right angles as to highlight the features but yet not cast shadows. Can you let me know if I am heading down the right path with my idea or give me some options that may also work?thank you Pete

Hi Pete. It's hard to say because I only use these lights for my studio. They are very powerful though and I think that you could easily light up a big room for your project. The back of the light has 3 switches in order to turn on and off some of the light bulb and control the output power.
