question
Ok, I have read your product description and I have read the customer comments/reviews. I understand slave tech just fine( pre-flash synchronization/ digital / etl, etc.) Based on the description and comments, I am not clear if the shoe/slave piece (on the left in your photo) is designed to ignore pre-flash or if the bubble slave on the right will ignore pre-flash. Here is what I want to do - I want to use this with a Canon SX30is or SX40is . and Vivitar 283 /285 units. I have no use for a non-pre-flash slave. What are the model numbers of the units units included in this set? I probably only have a need for one of them. Thanks for your help!
Neither slave has the function to ignore the pre-flash on a pop-up built in flash or a speed-light.The pop up flash on both the SX 30 and SX 40 have a pre-flash and in most cases will fool an optical slave. We do not have any programmable optical slaves that ignore the pre-flash.
