Apple Logic Express 9 - Music Production Software (Upgrade for Owners of Logic Express 6, 7 or 8)

Logic Express 9 from Apple sits between Apple's GarageBand and Logic Pro in terms of feature sets. However, the software is much closer to Logic Pro in its core functionality, providing all of the basic features found in the more advance sibling, except for two differences.

The first is Logic Express does not support surround sound. The second is an inability for the software to be used with Digidesign's Pro Tools TDM hardware. Also, the software does not come with the large reverb impulse library supplied with the Pro edition. However, barring the above restrictions, Logic Express will perform all the other recording, editing and mixing functions in exactly the same manner as found in Logic Pro.

With Logic Express, all the editing tools and content browsers are integrated into a single window, which allows for a faster workflow. Shortcut menus, toolbars, and transport bars are right there in front of the user and not spread across a maze of windows. And the workspace can be customized using 99 storable screen configurations and more than 1000 definable key commands.
