The Sunbounce system consists of a collapsible aluminum frame that can be easily assembled and combined with different reflecting, light-reducing, or light-absorbing screens to take full advantage of any kind of light, hard or soft, natural or artificial. This Mini Sun-Bounce Kit - Zebra/White Screen (3x4') from Sunbounce includes the lightweight (less than 4 lbs), stable, anodized aluminum frame, a reversible zebra/white screen, and a shoulder bag to hold the frame and screen. The zebra side reflects a warm, slightly contrasty light, the white side reflects a softer, diffused light. The frame is designed with an integrated crossbar and clamp so that it can be comfortably held in many different ways--by hand or by attaching it to a tripod, for instance. The frame and screen fold to fit into the included shoulder bag.

Extreme stability--the frames can be quickly disassembled, are made of the highest-quality aluminum and are extremely stable, even in windy conditions
Top-quality materials--all reflector screens are manufactured using the world's most high-quality reflective and translucent materials
Reliability--the Sunbounce system allows every conceivable lighting situation to be perfectly controlled--even strong wind is manageable
Lightweight
Mobility--the system can be quickly disassembled and is so light that you can take it anywhere

    Mini Sun-Bounce Kit - Zebra/White Screen (3x4') is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sunbounce does as required Here in Iowa it can be very winding and especially near a large lake. This reflector is easy to maneuver, light to carry, easy to direct and feather the light. Set up is pretty simple and easy. I like the fact that I can collapse this reflector and store it in my VW Jetta. I have used the Westcott colapsible style reflectors with poor results. The fabrics are good, however the frames in the wind flap in the wind and its tough to get good results. These are pricy but they work. For simple use, I mount this loosely to a Mathews Hollywood head on a light stand and then direct the light where I want/need. I looked at other options and for me this was the best.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality, Not Quantity It's really nice, but when they say 3'x4' they really mean that the entire apparatus is 3'x4', not the reflector area. The reflector is more like 2'x4' which is not as large as I need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I didn't know This is absolutely wonderful. I can't believe the images I'm getting using this sunbounce. The hype is true. It's lightweight, easy to setup, easy to handle. This is by far an essential tool I have when shooting outdoors. If you want pictures that will set you apart from your competition, this this is the product for you. I prefer this over the 4x6. It works great for singles and couples shots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely noticeable quality of light This item does not bounce or reflect light - it transcends the light source onto the subject in the most beautiful, flawless way. There is such a quality and character to the light this item creates - even flat lighting is a little more exciting with the CA Sun-Bounce. In our industry, lighting is everything, and you really get what you pay for with the Sun-Bounce. Also, do yourself a favor, just pay a little bit more for the Zebra - I've always hated gold reflectors due to their hard/crunchy gold overtone. The zebra is delicate and subtle, and a must have. Setup and break-down is very easy. This is also the most light weight, balanced, and stable reflector there is. I promise you will not be disappointed with this purchase, nor will you ever feel guilty for spending the money on a 'reflector' - especially after you use it for the first time. Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely gorgeous light I've been meaning to buy this for at least a year now, however the price in Australia is just too expensive. Luckily I was at B&H while traveling through to the Eddie Adams Workshop (2010) where I just couldn't say no. Absolute highlight was while on Assignment at Eddie Adams, Al Bello (Getty sports photographer) held the sunbounce and within seconds said in his New York accent *I've got to buy one of these!* I'd like to think I influenced one of the best sports photographers in the world to make the purchase but really it's the gorgeous light it reflects. Absolutely stunning, everyone should own one, and it's small & light enough that airlines won't blink an eye at having it in the cabin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent I do lighting and grip for indy video productions and need to have a versatile, lightweight and reliable solution for reflecting light. Here are the problems I hoped the sunbounce mini would solve: Circular reflectors shimmer in any wind, so much so that I've never found the silver side to be useful for video work. The holding position on the outside of the disk can also lead to unwanted wiggles even when held tightly. Poly and foam boards are all but impossible to wrangle in the wind. They are bulky to transport. California sunbounce stuff is expensive. For years i've said yeah, right when i've seen the price. I had a music video with a decent budget recently and when the sunbounce went on sale I bit the bullet and ordered the 3x4 and 4x6 models. I live in New Zealand and without any chance to test them out beforehand it was a very expensive gamble. I didn't like the price, but I love the reflectors. After a few shoots I've absorbed the price and am very happy to have the sunbounces in my kit. The main feature here is the tension. The reflector fabric has elastic edges that you must put quite a bit of tension into in order to assemble the frame. (a lot of tension. You have to have a bit of strength to assemble the frame.) This tension holds the fabric taut, which eliminates the micro wiggles and shimmers of a round reflector. The two cross bars give you a unique ability to really dig in and grip the reflector in extreme wind. During one shoot it was all I could do to keep from lifting off like a kite, but i was still able to do a silver fill for a shot that would have been a bust otherwise. Its close to the light quality of a bead board, it weighs almost nothing, its easier to grip than any other reflector I've used and packs down to a very compact and portable size. My one concern is that the two unsupported edges are under a bit less tension than the rest of the frame and as the elastic ages I wonder if they will sag a bit. Switching between the two sides requires releasing the tension, flipping the bars over and re-tensioning the frame. If you struggle to tension the frame in the first place, you would probably find changing fabrics frustrating enough you might resist doing it when needed. For speed we sometimes would just flip the reflector around and bounce with the handles towards the talent. Its really ideal to have the handles acting as handles though. Overall, I'm happy. Each time i've used one on set, the crew has crowded around like the dawn of man sequence from 2001. It is a testament to how unique the design is that everyone is so curious. Its not voodoo or magic. Its 4 aluminum tubes, some shiny/white fabric with elastic on the edges. Its really hard to justify the price if you look at materials. However, there really isn't any other reflector on the market that compares (in my opinion.) The other options are cheaper but less useful when it comes time to pull out a portable reflector. If you look at the versatility and function, the choice seems to be this reflector... or a compromise. The 4x6 i'll review as basically the same, with the main difference being that the size requires 2 people to hold it in strong south pacific winds. (which are often hard to stand up in even without holding a sail.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great solid reflector! Once I applied the reflector material onto the frame, it was nice and solid without any weak spots. Mounting it to a light stand with the optional Enterprise grip head was easy and placing it where you want is a snap! It gives a nice and even reflection. For one or two subjects, it makes things easier so you don't have to worry about a second fill light and figuring out ratios etc. Eager to use it outdoors when the weather improves. I can see getting some more in the future. I used to use Lightform light panels, but they wobble etc. These also give a very professional look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't shoot without it! We recently left our 3x4' sunbounce at a venue while shooting an event. Did not hesitate to purchase another one right away. Even if the other one shows up I would be happy to have two. Seriously the best reflector on the market. It is light and much easier to handle than the popup variety. It keeps the fabric tight with a level surface which makes it much more efficient when reflecting light. The silver material acts more like a mirror. Works so well you end up feathering the light in as opposed to reflecting straight towards the subject. Because the frame is so light and stable, in a pinch If I am without an assistant I can prop it under my elbows while shooting to fill in some under eye shadows. Works like a charm.
