I was wanting to buy one of these for years and never could justify the cost but after getting one I wish I would have got one years ago. The ridged frame makes it so much brighter than the usual collapsible reflectors. And wind is not longer a factor and so much easier for someone to aim and keep the light where it needs to go.

I don't want to assume, but what is the break down size for air travel? Is it 3 and a 1/2 feet? I'm use to dealing with metric.Cheers

Does this also mount easily to a c-stand? Do the larger ones as well?
yes I do that all the time, there is a mount included. however you will have to watch the balance. I usualy put the small one flat from below on a c stand. Doing different angles will need weight on the c stand probably.

What are the dimensions of the section of the material that provides the bounce/diffusion excluding the black fabric on the sides near the frame? For example, the product description states the frame is 3'x4', but what is the size of the effective surface used for reflection/diffusion?
Probably cut 3 off each side, rest runs end to end. This i the best product ever ... makes the light very easy to control and shape
