The Pelco 24-Channel HVR/500GB is equipped with 24 looping analog video channels and lets you view up to 32 analog/IP (maximum 24 analog) cameras. Pelco and Axis standard definition IP cameras can be added to the HVR without incurring license fees, making the shift from analog to IP affordable. A resource meter in the HVR monitors system resources in real time and helps you assess the feasibility of adding IP cameras.
With a recording rate of up to CIF/480 ips, the HVR has an internal storage capacity of up to 500GB. Additional JBOD external storage, mouse and keyboard can be connected via 6 high-speed USB 2.0 ports.
Other salient features of the HVR include dynamic adjustment of video settings, instant playback, and scheduled backup. The unit also provides 24 alarm inputs, 24 relay outputs, and 2 standard audio channels with live audio over the network. The HVR offers full remote control through TCP/IP network.
Using DS ControlPoint software the HVR can connect to a Digital Sentry system and other DX Series HVRs/DVRs. DS ControlPoint operators can simultaneously view and playback analog video and control cameras from any DX4500, DX4600, DX8000, or DX8100, as well as view and playback analog and IP cameras from any Digital Sentry system. The dual display card allows a single-switch selection between VGA and analog outputs.
With a built-in system health check for maximum uptime and availability, the HVR displays critical unit operating status and when an operating limit of a server CPU or HDD is exceeded, it sends out an alert to the server and remote clients.
Up to 32 cameras can be simultaneously viewed using the server dual display and up to 4 extended composite monitors can be connected for public view. Navigating through the security setup is made easy by the 'favorites' feature that lets you recall any camera/view combination. The operator can view and control up to 180 cameras when the unit operates as part of a network of five DX8100s/DX8000s. The HVR offers remote client connection for up to 200 servers with 5 simultaneous connections per server.
Thumbnail, Pixel (Smart Search), and ATM/POS search modes equip you with a variety of search tools especially useful for professional security applications. The HVR can support up to 16 ATM or POS devices per server.
Other features include online help, multilingual support, and export/import of system configurations; furthermore, the HVR is equipped with multilevel passwords and user configurations. The HVR has 4 user levels of protection for setup functions, operation, and system exiting with each level having user-assignable features per user level and offering multiple users per level.
Instant playback feature provides the option of a forced write to a disk and allows users immediate playback of events. A scheduled backup management system backs up data to external devices (CD, NAS or other storage devices) without interrupting hard disk recording.
