Klipsch KA-1000-THX Overview

The KA-1000-THX Subwoofer Amplifier from Klipsch is a full-featured Class D amplifier. It has a massive toroidal power supply that is capable of delivering 500W continuous into 8 ohms or 1000W continuous into 4 ohms. It can support two high performance subwoofers and has a left and right RCA pass-through.

Some valuable features include a front panel main power switch, a selectable signal-sensing auto-on/off circuit, and LED status indicators for crossover and level-control operation. Matching the look of Aragon home-theater components, finished in black with a machined aluminum front panel and knobs, the KA1000THX uses professional style NL2 Speakon outputs for the high current transfer of power to the subwoofer.

This amp drives both subs with power to spare I had been using a crown amp with higher specs but this amp is better in my opinion

Match this perfect AMP to the KW 120 THX subs, and be a happy man! I still grin day after day for this fabulous system in my HT. You will too! Amazing Amp more than enough power you will not need to look any farther at all with the KW 120 THX subs! Feel and hear the bass when you want it!

The THX switch provides a means to bypass the crossover and level controls when using a THX preamplifier or receiver. In the “On” position, the crossover and level controls do not function. (In this configuration, your preamplifier or receiver will perform those functions.) In the “Off” position, the crossover and level controls operate normally. Be sure the volume level on your preamplifier or receiver is turned down before changing the setting of this switch.
