The Pelco Video EA2000 Equalizing Amplifier is a half-duplex video/control equalizing amplifier optimized for use with Pelco and other Coaxitron controls system. The unit incorporates all solid-state circuitry and comes with a UL Listed wall transformer. The amplifier is recommended for post-equalization applications only, and as such should be located near the monitoring equipment. Using the amplifier as a pre-equalizer is not advised. With the addition of the optional R300 rack mount kit, three units can be rack mounted in a rack chassis. Alternatively, the optional DT200 can be used to mount two units side-by-side on a desktop.
The Equalizing Amplifier (Half Duplex), with its ability to maintain picture quality up to 3,000 feet/914 m (using RG59/U coaxial cable), offers an optimum solution for those needing to send video and control signals over long distances. The quality of the Coaxitron control signal is maintained by the Amplifier. Adjustable amplifier flat gain of 1 to 8 dB is provided by the front panel controls. It also provides full contrast and detail along with video amplitude, as well as adjustable high frequency boost of 0 to greater than 18 dB at 12 MHz.
