10.1 Megapixel Resolution
The CCD Image sensor of the Exilim EX-Z200 provides 10.1 million pixels to maximize clarity so detailed moments are captured the way you envisioned. Such high resolution means that you can print your images with excellent quality; plus crop into your image, or create poster size photos that maintain all of the details.
4x Wide-angle Zoom Lens
Though the EX-Z200 is as slim as your little finger, yet it features an impressive 4x optical zoom lens that has a wide angle capability equivalent to a 28mm lens on a 35mm film camera, so you can capture the entire scene or get a tight close up.
CCD-shift Anti Shake Function
The EX-Z200 employs an anti-shake function that compensates for blur by moving the imaging element to compensate for camera movements. This is also combined with the cameras Anti-Shake DSP, which reduces blur by raising the camera's sensitivity and therefore increasing shutter speeds.
2.7" Wide-Screen Display
The 2.7" wide-screen TFT color display of the EX-Z200 is so large and wide that it takes up almost the entire rear side of the camera, and provides a clear view of your images and video clips. Exilim Engine
The extremely powerful Exilim Engine combines multiple components in a compact space, provides for fast camera operation, and saves energy. Intuitive Interface
The EX-Z200 can easily be operated with just one hand (Use your thumb to navigate the menus and your index finger for the release button and zoom) plus the arrangement of the operation panel on the display is particularly clear and enables the user to move quickly between the various adjustment features. Users can also customize many of the camera's controls to have quick access to favorite features and functions.
Auto Best Shot Scene Modes
The camera's Best Shot scene modes enable selection of the appropriate camera setting for still photos via an easy to understand sample image menu, so you'll be able to take beautiful pictures, regardless of the shooting situation or your particular photography expertise. User can also use the Auto Best Shot mode, where the camera will analyze faces, focus, and exposure to find the perfect setting for your picture. Face Detection and Face Recognition with Auto-tracking AF
The auto-tracking AF system uses motion analysis technology to maintain both sharp focus and correct exposure for a human face, and the combination of face detection technology and the auto-tracking AF system ensures that, once the focus locks on to a person's face, it will stay sharp and maintain the right exposure, even if the person moves; thereby making it much easier to capture beautiful portraits. The Face Recognition function can save up to 6 faces via a biometric mask. The feature then drives the camera to focus primarily on faces which have been saved previously in the family register, and enables you to set "preferences" for certain people when taking a photograph at family celebrations.
Auto Shutter Function
The innovative Auto Shutter function ensures that you will never again miss that smile when taking photos. Press the release button as soon as you have the faces in the frame, and the photo will then be taken, fully automatically, once the subjects are smiling. Furthermore, using motion blur detection technology, the cameras Auto Shutter will automatically take a photo at the instant when hand shake or subject movement ceases. Users can also automatically capture the moment when their own face fills the frame when shooting a self-portrait
Enhanced Quick Responsiveness
Once powered on, the camera is ready to take pictures in approximately 1 second, and after the shutter is snapped, pictures are taken almost instantly, with only 0.008 second release time lag. The "Direct On" buttons allow quick startup of both shooting and viewing modes, and the camera also has high-speed image viewing at approximately 0.1 seconds intervals.
Powerful Fast Flash
The built-in flash has a "Rapid Flash" feature that enables three consecutive flash photos in one second, while the "Soft Flash" function reduces flash brightness when taking close-up flash photos. Furthermore, the "Flash Assist" mode compensates for poorly illuminated areas of the shot.
Movie Mode and Audio Record
The EX-Z200 is able to record movies with sound at broadcast quality using the MPEG-4 H.264 standard that provides an increased compression ratio allowing users to record longer clips without having to sacrifice the quality of their movies, and can continue recording as long as there is memory available. Plus, the Movie Button makes for easy movie recording. The camera can also produce an audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and is equipped with a Voice Recorder feature.
YouTube Capture Mode
The YouTube capture mode records in next-generation MPEG-4 H.264 high quality video format, and an exclusive software application is included that makes it seamless to upload movies to YouTube in as few as two steps. This technology will also allow users to upload multiple videos at once, making it easier than ever before to share original content online. In addition the camera also includes an eBay Best Shot Mode that takes photos at a size that is image optimized for display on eBay, and for ease of use, the eBay photos are stored in a special eBay directory.
Built-in and Expandable Memory
The EX-Z200 has 12.1 MB of internal memory so you can start shooting immediately. The storage capacity can also be greatly expanded with a Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) or MultiMediaCard (MMC), so you can save large numbers of photos and record movies in excess of an hour or more in duration.
Super-Life Battery
The EX-Z200 is extremely efficient in its power usage and includes a high capacity NP-40 rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery which provides so much power, that the camera is ready for use at that decisive moment and takes over 200 shots on a full charge.
Direct Print Capable
