Key Features
  • 3000 Lumens

  • XGA (1024 x 768) Resolution
  • 720p, 1080i, 1080p High Definition
The XGA-resolution Casio XJ-S58 is a super slim projector with a short-throw lens. A short throw lens, simply put, can project a larger picture at a shorter distance from the screen than a conventional lens can. For example the XJ-S58 can project an image that's 60 inches measured diagonally at less than 5.6 feet from the screen.

The XJ-S58 is ideal for smaller conference rooms, classrooms and living rooms. Its power focus, 2x zoom lens gives you maximum flexibility in where you place the projector. Its 3000 lumens of projection power at an 1800:1 contrast ratio means it's effective in big rooms too.

But the XJ-S58 can do lot more than make big pictures in tight spaces. For one thing, it can make them all over the world. It's got an international 100 – 240 volt 50/60 Hz power supply and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards. And speaking of international, its onscreen display (OSD) offers your choice of 10 languages. The XJ-S58 is also compatible with a couple dozen Macintosh and PC resolution/sync rates plus 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition.

The XJ-S58 makes beautiful, vivid pictures thanks to its Texas Instruments DLP DMD imaging panel with BrilliantColor. The panel is where the image is formed in a projector. Texas Instruments is generally acknowledged as the maker of the finest panels. You'll find TI's Digital Micromirror Display Digital Light Processor technology in the top projectors of many brands. It's not hard to understand why.

BrilliantColor increases color accuracy while it increases color brightness by up to 50 percent. And in addition to red green and blue, its spectrum includes their complements: cyan, magenta and yellow. What's more, DLP projectors require no filters that have to be cleaned and replaced, which saves you time and money and, in the case of a permanent ceiling installation, possibly some skinned knuckles.

Of course if you're a road warrior you're sure to appreciate the XJ-S58's low weight (3.96 pounds) and small size (10.63 x 1.69 x 7.83"). If you want to travel really light leave the laptop at home. You can use the included EZ-Converter and EZ Converter Pro software to convert PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and PDF files to a format the XJ-S58 can project. Then just copy your files to a USB flash drive, plug it into your projector and it's show time.

The USB port can also be used with Casio's optional YW-2L wireless adapter. Plug it in to your XJ-S58 and up to four laptops can present wirelessly.

Thanks to its high static pressure Sirocco fan the XJ-S58 cools down quickly, so shortly after your presentation is over you can place the projector and its cables in their included cases and be on your way.

3000 Lumens And an 1800:1 Contrast Ratio
With 3000 lumens at an 1800:1 contrast ratio the XJ-S58's images will be vivid, detailed and true-to-life even if you can't achieve theater-level darkness in your projection venue.
DMD DLP Panel With Texas Instruments BrilliantColor Technology
The panel is the part of the projector that forms the image. The latest BrilliantColor technology delivers stunning all-digital clarity with life-like color, sharp graphics and outstanding video. The sophisticated six-segment (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow) color wheel enhances the yellow color performance that's key to accurate and vivid color reproduction. DLP panels offer a bonus: They require no filters that have to be periodically cleaned and replaced.
USB Port For PC-Free Presentations
Why take a PC when you can quickly convert your presentation, copy it to your flash drive and project it directly from your XJ-S58? Talk about traveling light. The XJ-S58 ships with Casio's EZ-Converter and EZ-Converter Pro software. EZ-Converter can transform any PowerPoint presentation in seconds. Got more work than just a PowerPoint to show off? Not a problem. EZ-Converter Pro allows you to convert Excel, Word, and PDF documents. Once your files are converted, you simply add them to your USB flash drive, plug into your USB enabled XJ-S58 and you're off and running.
Optional Wireless Connectivity With YW-2L Adapter
You'll never have to fumble around with wires again. By using the optional YW-2L Wireless LAN adaptor with any USB enabled Super Slim projector, up to four laptops can connect and present wirelessly via your XJ-S58.
At 3.96 Pounds The XJ-S58 Won't Weigh You Down
The XJ-S58 takes the hassle out of travel so you can be the ultimate road warrior. At just under four pounds, it's lighter than most laptops so it won't weigh you down. At 1.7 inch thick its thin profile will make packing for travel a breeze...forget the extra bags, just stow it away in your briefcase.
Short Throw Power Zoom and Focus Lens
Whether you are in a small media room or a large boardroom the XJ-S58's power zoom lens gives you the flexibility to easily position the projector. Large screen projection is possible in any room and the short throw lens (1.15 – 2.30 throw ratio) can project an image from as close as three feet and as far away as 28 feet. Image adjustment can be easily made from the remote control or an optional RS-232 control system.
