The Pelco EH4712DB-2 Camera Enclosure is an indoor/outdoor camera enclosure with a compact design ideally meant for cameras with fixed focal length or motor driven zoom lenses. Constructed with die-cast, extruded and sheet aluminum, the 13" enclosure provides protection against corrosion.
The enclosure comes with a pre-installed blower and heater. Installation and camera setup is simplified with the accompanied PC board which is wired in advance with internal electronics.
The enclosure is accessed through a "drop" bottom door which is at the bottom of the enclosure. The camera sled resides on the top of the enclosure. Hence, as the camera continues to be in its normal viewing position, video is not interfered while making internal adjustments.
There are two glands on the top of the enclosure, making video & power cable installation easy as they securely seal these cables. Using the mounting holes at the top, the unit can be easily installed from the ceiling. The enclosure is CE compliant and also meets the NEMA type 3R standard of being rain-proof and resistant to sleet/ice.
The enclosure proves useful especially in places like parking garage, where wall mounting is difficult.
