Tele Vue Wide T-Adapter (Canon EOS)
Key Features
  • Mounts Camera to Imaging Accessories
  • Larger Aperture versus Standard Ring
  • For Canon EOS Cameras
  • 2.4" Bayonet
Designed specifically for Canon EOS cameras, the Wide T-Adapter from Tele Vue is used to connect your DSLR to any of their astroimaging accessories, like the 0.8x Reducer/Flattener. Standard T-rings/telescope setups do not take advantage of the wide aperture of a bayonet mount and can cause significant vignetting because of the small diameter of their T-ring openings. This 2.4" Canon EOS Wide T-Adapter's bayonet mount connects to your camera in place of the T-ring and provides 50% greater aperture to minimize vignetting.

Will this fit Canon EOS R series?

Will this fit Canon EOS R series?
Asked by: Don
No, the Tele Vue Wide T-Adapter (Canon EOS) [BH #TEACWT] is only compatible with the older EOS Canon mount. For the newer RF mount you can use this adapter; Vello T-Mount Lens to Canon RF-Mount Camera Lens Adapter [BH #VELACRFT • MFR #LA-CRF-T]. This adapter can be found here: https://bhpho.to/3LSMlbG

question

Would this adaptor work on for a Canon 5DM3 ?
Asked by: John K.
Yes, it would physically work, however with the full frame sensor of the 5DM3, you would likely still get vignetting if you are using it with a 2 focuser or paracorr.

question

Will this adapter work with the Tele Vue T-Ring Adapter for the 4x Powermate?
Asked by: Anonymous
This item is not for the Powermate and is designed for prime focus (or focal reducer) photography with 2.4 inch focusing tubes. There is a T-ring adaptor (it screws into the ring that comes with a T-adaptor) and it is Televue part #PTR-4201. I have both the Powermate and the PTR-4201.
