    Pyle Pro PP999 reviews

PP999 Phono Preamplifier is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Set up! Installation of the Pyle Pro preamplifier was very easy to figure out- - plugs in, attach the ground wire, and ready to go. Works nicely!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the price I use this with my M-Audio speakers and my Garrard At60 turntable. It works well for the price. Of course you can spend a lot of money on pre amps with amazing sound quality. But if you want one that is cheap and will give you great sound quality, this is for you. If you notice that there is a loud buzzing noise, this is NOT from the pre amp!!! It means you have not grounded your turntable. Your turntable should come with a cord that has a little metal bit on the end, and since this pre amp has no place to put a grounding cord, you simply un-screw one of the screws on the side a bit, place the end under, and screw back it. Voila! No buzzing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even a cave man connected it in 2 min. I have a turntable and Sony Home Theater system that required a pre-amp interface to hear my vinyl collection. It works flawlessly. Just had to plug in the pre-amp power cord, connect the 2 supplied RCA plugs to the turntable output and into the pre-amp. Then connect another pair of RCA plugs (not supplied) from the out put side of the pre-amp into the input side of an unused audio input of my home theater amp and voila, let there be sound! A whole lot cheaper than buying a new high-end amp that has a phono jack! I have not experienced any buzzes, hisses, etc. I have noticed, however, that it does not repair vinyl record scratches and cracks nor allow me to understand 1970's Bob Dylan any better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great! I don't typically like Pyle electronics but I read a lot of reviews on this unit and they were good so I went ahead and got it, and I must say that I am very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, right price Easy to set up & sounds great. Some reviewers complain of a buzz or hum noise, but that's likely due to not attaching your turntable's grounding wire. I attached mine to one of the screws on this preamp and it sounds perfect....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from work as expected Back order at first.. but i ended up receivig it in a decent time.. so it all works out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job perfectly! After my stereo receiver died, I needed a way to play my old vinyl music. I got this preamp to connect my turntable to my PA System! So now it's nice and loud, and full sounding. Note: You still will need to ground your turntable to your audio power chassis, or you'll hear hum. Remedy: Wire audio ground wire (not power ground) up to a screw on the back of your audio system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Connects a turntable to new gear It's a simple but necessary device when upgrading to new audio gear that doesn't support a phono input. This gadget boosts the low-level output from a phono cartridge to line levels. I connected mine in minutes and it works fine.
