    Pyle Pro PPEQ100 reviews

PPEQ100 Dual 10 Band Stereo Equalizer is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool Equalizer I bought this EQ to add to my rack system and like it. The price was great and the performance is good. Because it is a small 1 rack unit size the sliders are a bit sensitive but work well. It is not a real durable build but for the price not bad. The sound is great and it provides a lot of extra inputs if you need to add other sound sources. The Vacuum Flourescent Display is pretty nice looking. Pyle's bright blue LED's are sometimes a bit overpowering but hey, It's lit up like a christmas tree... The rack brackets are not installed as shipped so if you don't want to mount is it will work well for a regular home stereo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great equalizer for the price I bought this to use with my home theater system. I was very impressed with the sound I got after I ran it through the equalizer. I would deffinatly recommend this to anyone wanting great sound for a cheap price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good EQ with Worthless Display Bought this Pyle EQ to replace an old, failing EQ that has been part of my processing chain for 15+ years. I connect this EQ outputs to the Sidechain Insert of the main Compressor/Limiter in the chain, and it's set to do a bit of ducking and de-essing. The EQ functions well; no complaints. I matched the Pyle's bands with my old Technics' settings, and a problem I'd been having with the expander/gate failing to respond on one channel went right away (suspected the problem was caused by bad output from the old EQ). BTW, the blue LEDs on the bands are super-bright. There are at least 5 other devices on my rack, and the bands on this EQ outshine everything in the studio. Any replacement EQ would probably have done just as well, but I bought this Pyle EQ for its Spectrum Display; I love the idea of visualizing the sound coming off my console. Unfortunately, this EQ's Spectrum Display is an outright lie. The frequencies going into the device don't matter-- low, high, or in-between, the display just shows the exact same curve all of the time, which pretty much makes it useless for visualizing purposes. I guess getting a true display at this price point was too much of an expectation, because Pyle certainly under-delivered there. But hey, at least the EQ works.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Basic EQ that does it's job. For it's price, this EQ does the job. I may recommend it for home sound centers where you can hook up to 4 different audio inputs. It also gives you a light show with VERY bright lights. If you install it for a home theater, keep it far from the TV since it may distract you. And yes, the graphical display may not be the best sound analyzer but it looks good :D. That said, I may not recommend it for serious or pro sound systems. I've been DJ'ing for 30+ years and for a few bucks extra you can have a reliable and long lasting EQ like a dbx 215S or a Peavey PV 215EQ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a game changer I have the matching Pyle 2000 watt amp hooked up to 10 Bose Infiniti speakers throughout the inside and outside of my house. the hybrid amp has an amazing sound but with this eq added I gained another 10 db I n the house and the clarity it brought out is amazing. we just had a party and everyone there commented on how clear the sound was and how rich the voices are. like I said it's a game changer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price This is a great EQ for home theaters. I bought it for the intent of using it in a sound system installation. It says that it is a dual band but it is really just stereo output. You can connect four devices to it but they all have the same output.
