ProTapes 001UPCG230MGRY1 reviews

Pro Gaffer Tape (2" x 30 yd, Gray) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 201.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, But not as sticky or thick I thought I'd try a roll of the cheaper tape. It's probably okay for 95% of studio work to tape stuff. I had just finished up a roll of A&E's P665 Shurtape. That is MUCH thicker (sometime hard to tear) and stickier. So if you want a light duty gaffer tape that will handle most things, this is probably the tape. For me, I will buy the more expensive tape next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for your camera bag! OK, you don't really have to either fit a 3 pound roll of gaffers tape in your camera bag, nor do you have to roll a few yards around a pencil, or worse without. These small rolls have a tiny spindle in the middle, providing a nice amount of tape while using minimum space. I don't use this to tape down hundreds of feet of cables, just for the little but important stuff. If you have cables to tape down, go get the 3 full sized rolls. But tuck one of these in the cam bag for taping lav mics, lighting controls, or fixing things that were working last time you used them. Well worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent gaff or the price I use it for any and everything. From taping down cables to attaching stuff to walls or fixing broken equipment.Right off the bat it looks like normal gaff tape but, once you pull some strips off you'll see the adhesive doesn't feel or look all too tacky. Surprisingly enough it holds well to smooth concrete in high humidity (used it in an open air venue in the middle of summer). All in all it's alright, I wouldn't trust my life with it. I think it should be a bit cheaper, say 8 bucks instead of $ but, I understand that there is a lot more expensive gaff out there so it's still a good buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gaff Tape in the Industry We have been using several roles of gaff tape for the past few months but it's not the right kind and our DP has been complaining. Some of it was too sticky, some too thick, some of it more like electrical tape - but this is the gaff tape you've been looking for! Flexible, easy to tear, strong, durable - and cheap! It's awesome. And made our DP very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cloth Adhesive Device A truly wondrous little item! Sticky on one side- yet cloth-like on the other! While serving to easily coat your most valued possessions in a truly delightful layer black cloth, I have also discovered yet another use for this ingenious device: when draped over a pair of non-sticky objects, the two will in fact, conjoin! I have taped near dozens of items to other items with this miraculous substance! It is truly revolutionary, and I wholeheartedly recommend this product to any and all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, just what I was looking for! We are a very small printing company, we recently had an order that called for binding small pads with a strong but easy to use black matte cotton tape. I searched for days on the Internet to find just what would do the job and not be so expensive that it would make the pads prohibitive. Someone suggested looking for gaffer tape. Even that became a long search. I had never thought to search the B&H site, but it came up in one of my searches and I thought why not, nothing else had worked. Ordered the tape, my husband found it easy to work with and exactly what the costumer had wanted. Eureka! The company is happy and referring us to other companies and I am reordering more of the tape! Thank you for your help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why did I wait so long to purchase this? How did I go so long without having Gaffer's Tape? The first time I used it, I tore off about 18 and folded it on itself a couple times, then stuck it in my camera bag (why bring the entire roll). When I needed it, I simply pulled it apart and taped my GoPro to a wall. No adhesive residue was left on the wall or the camera, and it stuck to the wall like it was glued there. It exceeded expectations!!! Always keep some with you, especially if you're a photographer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Latex and cloth has a little give This roll seems like a good value, and is everything you see in the description. Fairly strong, cloth-based, latex-infused, and cleanly removable. I used to use a brand that I can't seem to find anymore which was paper based instead of latex based. So my notes are pointing out some differences between the two kinds of tape. In comparison, this tape's adhesive is not quite as strong as I'd like it, especially on uneven surfaces; it's pretty hardy but I feel like I can't use it under tension as easily as the paper variety as it might peel. This tape's latex and cloth gives it a bit of stretch which can help conform to curved surfaces nicely, but laying it out in straight lines takes a bit of extra care. Also, it's a little thicker and the latex shows a bit of a cream/white line along the edge of the tape. Lastly, this tape is much more strong against tearing than the paper variety; this can be a really good thing once applied to surfaces, but you'll want a knife edge to cut the tape off the roll without any fraying.
