    Pyle Pro PTA1000 reviews

    PTA1000 Professional Stereo Power Amplifier (250W/Channel @ 8 Ohms) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A really good deal I just bought this unit and just used it for the first time last night in a small venue. It performed beautifully was easy to use with a mixer/equalizer board feeding it. I used it in stereo mode with 2 leads from the mixer and used one channel for the two main speakers and one for the monitor at a lower sound level. Fan sound went un-noticed by all of us. The manual was not too informative, but an amatuer like me got by with no trouble. The wording in the manual was minimal on bridging, but I figured it out. I'll continue to use it in the stereo mode. At this price, if we need the power we can simply buy another one and use them in the bridged mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PTA1000 Professional Stereo Power Amplif ...The Pile PTA 1000 is intended to power up that 15 Dayton 4 ohm speaker that consumes power past the point of usefulness. Allthough the instalation is incomplete, it powers up smartly and has good monitoring fetures. I like it. If I get any more excuses from those 5 and 3 channel amplifiers ,I will replace them all with banks of Piles. ... Solidly built, American made and, Pile will stand behind their product. If for whatever reason it does'nt performe, they will be there. It will be fixed or replaced. I have the anth...m preamp and power amps for home use. Let me tell you about it....! Pile has all the cards!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well but can't rack it! Basic, working power amp. Output definitely isn't the claimed 250w/Ch, more like 150w (max). But for a basic, cheap amp it works well to drive 2 stage monitors. Sound is clean & amp runs very cool. Cheap enough to be disposable but I sure hope it doesn't die during a gig! BUT... The big problem is the size of this unit. It says its rack-mountable but it is too big. The rack ears are too wide to fit in a standard 19 rack & can't be removed or adjusted. And the rubber feet on the amp prevent the rack holes from lining up. Had to completely rearrange the stage rack to get this to fit. But it works now. Only problem is that if it does die I will need the exact unit as a replacement if I want to re-rack it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Amp. For the price this amp is great. Don't expect Crown quality or sound here. The amp has good power for a small area setting. It states 500 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms but that is actually 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms. The specs might be off but for the price you cant go wrong. If you are looking to DJ at a large hall this is NOT the amp for you. If you are looking to DJ in a small room or hall this is the RIGHT choice for you especially if you are on a low budget. Hope this helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value Amplifier Great Amp. Case is strong and looks good. Amp runs cool with the cooling fans. The sound quality is very good. The rear panel connections are well marked and durable. I am using mine as main amplifier for my home stereo system with 2 15 inch 3 way speakers connected to each channel and the sound is great!!! This is just what I was looking for. I wanted to have ample power to produce clear sound. If you are looking for a value priced amp that performs well this is a great deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the price Very light, small, compact, and comes with a removable electric cord. I use it to power highs on a 3way active crossover. The only problem I can think of is that the power on LED is a very very bright blue which can be annoying and distorting to look at in a very dark setting, although that can be fixed with a bit of masking tape so it's not a real problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unreal price for good amp Great sounding powerful amp. I was skeptical but this thing jams. I did have an issue with it as it went to protection before a gig. I thought it was defective because I didn't come out of protection as the gig started. Fortunately I had a backup amp. It finally came out of protection and I've driven it hard since with no issues. Must have been a big short somewhere. Good to know the protection circuitry is so robust, it just took forever to reset.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not no 250w per channel but good value I use this amp for home use/dj/mixing it's not 250 watts per channel probably closer to 120 in my opinion but it works fine and for the price i think its still a really good value, no problems with it yet. I also have Crown CE1000 thats 275 per channel and it blows this thing away but it also costs more. Bottom line I would recommend it to someone looking for an economical 100-120 watt amp and I gave it 4 stars for the low price.
