The Pelco EHXM31 Explosionproof Camera Enclosure (with Wiper) is suitable for explosive and hazardous environment including marine environments. The enclosure is made of electropolished 316L stainless steel which protects it against corrosion and oxidation. Therefore, the unit can withstand explosion, dust, and ignition of the highest level.
The EHXM enclosure can operate within a range of 76 to 140°F (-60 to 60°C). The camera system can de-ice and be functional from a temperature of -13°F (-25°C) within 2 hours of power-on. The enclosure features a 180° tilt with 200° pan and can be installed in standard upright position or in unconventional inverted position.
The enclosure even features a window wiper for extra protection. The wiper has a regulated speed controller to slow down between wipes and has an auto shut-down period after a specified time. It does not cause any hindrance to the viewing of the camera.
Among the standard accessories of the EHXM Explosion-proof Camera Enclosure are a sun shroud, built-in heater, blower, and equipment for defrosting/defogging window. Meeting the NEMA Type 4X, the unit is corrosion resistant, waterproof, and dust-proof. The IP66 certification certifies that the enclosure protects from a powerful flow of water.
