The Mini-Dome comes with a clear bubble, and a bubble liner to enhance covertness. The durable composite and polycarbonate materials from which the mini-dome is constructed of have "shape memory", making the unit vandal-resistant.
Equipped with a moving IR cut filter, the True Day/Night camera switches to the black & white mode as the viewing area darkens, offering enhanced IR-sensitive night viewing. Optimal white balance makes neutral (gray, achromatic, white) colors in a scene appear neutral in the reproduction too, allowing the Mini-Dome to offer clear, color-perfect images. Backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light source.
The Mini-Dome's DVR-saver mode helps conserve valuable hard drive space. It can reduce video file sizes by up to 30% when used with an Intellex digital video management system.
Equipped with an advanced pivoting axis, the Discover Mini-Dome camera can be installed at any required angle. With easy to install mounts, the camera offers eight mounting options - surface, flush, pendant, wall, wall-pole, wall-exterior corner, inside corner, and electrical box.
