The Sabine PMR-HH2 Phantom Mic Rider resembles a phantom power supply, but is actually best described as a virtual sound engineer that attaches to any handheld condenser, or dynamic microphone. The Phantom Mic Rider utilizes phantom power to apply DSP processing that results in automatic gain control, proximity effect control, plosive control (popping) and an infrared sensor that automatically reacts to body heat in order to turn the microphone on and off.
Automatic gain processing compensates for low and excessively loud talkers and maintains a nominal output level. FBX Feedback Exterminator compensates for troublesome frequencies and maintains a high gain-before-feedback. Proximity Effect Control eliminates excessive bass response as talkers move closer to the microphone and Plosive Control eliminates excessive popping.
The PMR-HH2 Phantom Mic Rider features standard XLR male and female connections, and is a must have in teleconferencing, schools, meeting rooms, houses of worship and other sound reinforcement applications.
