I bought this lens plate to steady my 200-500mm lens on my tripod. Before using it, the lens wobbled on the standard tripod plate. This longer plate makes a huge difference. I recommend Acratech products. Thanks to B&H for its excellent inventory and service.

Is this the correct plate for a Sony FE 200-600 ...
Is this the correct plate for a Sony FE 200-600 mm F5.6-6.3 lens with original foot (3.5 inches long with one 1/4-20 and one 3/8-16 tapped hole)?
Although the 5" plate will work, I recommend our 4" plate #2131. I also includes a bushing for the 3/8" thread.

Will this work on a canon EF 100-400 with an existing collar and plate? The plate has one screw.
The Acratech Quick Release Plate for Telephoto Lenses (5") would be too long for use with the Canon 100-400mm lenses. As an alternative, if you own the original push/pull Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM Lens, the Acratech Quick Release Plate for Telephoto Lenses (2.5"), B&H # ACQRLP2.5, would be the correct lens plate for your usage needs. If you own the new twist-zoom Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens, then the Acratech 3.5" Lens Plate for Canon, B&H # ACLPC3.5, would be the correct lens plate for your usage needs.
