    Logitech M500 reviews

Corded Mouse M500 is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Corded Mouse M500 by Logitech I got a wired mouse because a wireless one won't work with my kvm switch. I've been wanting a mouse with forward/backward buttons for years. I've had it for about a month, and it seems pretty good so far. I like the scroll option button that lets you glide through huge spreadsheets quickly. I believe it can scroll to the left and to the right too, but I haven't tried it. The only negative thing I can say about it, is that the scroll wheel feels kinda loose maybe because it has that feature. I don't know. I do like the rubberized coating. I hope it doesn't wear off for a long time. I also like the fact that it's kinda ergo which hopefully eases any hand/wrist strain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality, Terrible Support, No More Logitech for Me. After using a Logitech Mouseman for many years I thought It waass time to replace it. Thefoot pads were worn outand replacement pads were not very good. My M500 replacement was a big disappointment after using the old Mouseman. It felt cheap and the wheel felt and sounded like a big, unwound spring. I called Logitech support and was connected to a man who spoke very poor English. After asking him to repeat what he said several; times he hung up on me. I finally returned it to B&H and had no problems. They have great customer service. The old Mouseman is back in service until I order a quality mouse replacement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Built a better mouse I'm a hardcore Mac fan. But this is a better mouse. Took a refresher Photoshop class (up to Creative Suite 6) and teacher said kill the white mouse. He recommended trying Logitech, and I did. I tried the hand feel of everything out there, as one spends a great deal of time scrolling. Fits great, extra buttons handy, duh, and cord is too long, which is better than too short. Should have done this decades ago, although it's not as pretty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from another good Logitech I got the M500 to replace my MX500, which was eight years old (but still working fine with another computer). The M500 is just as comfortable as the earlier model. Its scroll seems to work fine; the horizontal scroll works especially well in large photo files at 100% view. And the Logitech Control Center allows of customization. I haven't yet used it in my DAW (Reaper), but I'm sure it will work as well there as in Photoshop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from comprimise in functionality & usability I've got one at work and one at home. This is the perfect mouse for me. The ergonomics are great, I love the browsing buttons. Personally I don't get the need for a wireless mouse, just an added annoyance of replacing batteries. The scroll wheel toggle button is a bit unnecessary I suppose. I rarely need to scroll that quickly so it stays in slow scroll mode 99% of the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mouse I am a programmer that is at my computer a lot. I have always loved the Logitech mice with the clutched scroll wheel. The ergonomic design of this mouse feels great. My only complaint is completely objective. The wheel is the middle click button while the little button below the wheel is the clutch toggle. The difficulty this creates is when I'm using the middle click to open a web link in a new tab and I move the wheel as I attempt to click it, I miss the link. I have another Logitech mouse that is very similar to this one where the wheel is the clutch toggle and the little button below the wheel is the middle click. I like that design better. However, all in all I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great replacement for a wireless mouse I bought the M500 to replace my Logitech Performance MX Mouse, which does not seem to work with my new Asus Zenbook. Perhaps the MX fails to work properly due to lack of a Logitech driver for Windows 8.1? Supposedly there are interference issues with the MX due to USB 3.0 ports (as noted on the Logitech web site). Regardless, I needed an old-school corded mouse and the M500 fits the bill. It's ergonomic (similar to the Performance MX), a scroll wheel with both smooth and incremental movements, and two customizable thumb buttons. It does the job, as advertised. It seems to work on any surface, but I haven't tried using it on glass (the MX supposedly works on glass without issues. Not sure about the M500).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a keeper I use this at home for just about everything, surfing, email, games, excel etc. It has a very smooth glide to it. The l/R buttons are very sensitive causing accidental clicks while playing card games (can be annoying). The mouse pointer moves differently than my old MS IE optical mouse, I have fine tuned it but it still is a little different action than I'm use to. Also I find the middle button too difficult to depress. My workaround is changing the function of the left scroll button to act as the middle button since I don't ever scroll horizontally. I use the middle button heavily to open new web tabs so this workaround works well for me. By the way I am using the Logitech SetPoint software since I already use it for my keyboard.
