Dulce Systems PRO DQ xc Overview

The 6TB PRO DQ xc Hard Drive Array from Dulce Systems is a Quad Channel SATA II hard drive array that is compatible with Mac and Windows computer systems. Included is a dedicated PCI Express x8 controller card, which allows you to configure the array as a RAID 0, 3, RAID 5, or RAID 6.

Each of the 8 enterprise-class drives in the array is a high-performance 7200rpm 3.5" SATA disk. When configured as a RAID 3 or 5, the PRO DQ xc is capable of sustained transfer rates of up to 840MB/sec. You can configure as a RAID 0 for 970MB/sec performance, or as a RAID 6 for enhanced data security at 580MB/sec. This allows you to work with multiple real-time streams of many different types of video, including ProRes HQ, DVCPRO HD, and HD 10-bit uncompressed.

RAID Protected
The truth is, disk drives will fail, and they will fail at just the worst time. Don't give it a chance to ruin your day. RAID 3, 5 or 6 protection schemes are the most cost-efficient approach to insuring workflow continuation. Should a drive fail during your last render before your final tape out, don't sweat it, the hardware RAID protection will keep your workflow going even with one or more drives down
RAID Management GUI
A web browser accessed RAID Console provides quick and easy RAID management. The PRO DQ comes pre-configured for Mac OS X in RAID 5 protection mode, so it might not be necessary to access the RAID Console initially. But, should you want to change the configuration or manage the disk drives, you are just a couple of clicks away from the RAID Console

The PRO DQ not only protects your data with the latest RAID options, it is also well connected to keep your data secured.

The Quad Channel SATA II interface connectors used in the PRO DQ are made of metal construction and lock securely in place to prevent accidental removal.

Tuck Away Handles
From time to time you might need to move the PRO DQ xc from one suite to another, or from studio to on-location. The built-in tuck away handles, located in the front and rear of the unit, allow for convenient mobility
All Metal Drive Tray
The PRO DQ xc is built with the all metal drive tray. As the result, the drives runs cool and provides for a more efficient cooling for the entire unit, and it looks great with the collection of your high-end video gear
Unlimited Expansion
If you need to expand your storage beyond this unit's 6TB capacity, you can turn to the PRO EX. It is an optional PCI Express Expansion Switch that is also made by Dulce. The PRO EX can support up to 7 PCI Express x8 compatible cards. Fill the PRO EX with several new PRO DQ or any combination of the Dulce's PCI-e based products or even a 3rd party RAID controller!

The PRO EX can be daisy chained to provide a virtually unlimited storage expansion setup
