Moshi 99MO021901 reviews

ClearGuard Keyboard Protector for MacBook Air/Pro/Retina - 13"/15"/17" is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 116.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible! Perfect fit on my MBP I had read a few reviews about this product not being a good fit on some MBP's but let me assure you it is a perfect fit on my 13.3 model A1278 MacBook Pro.There is no adhesive of any kind (who would put adhesive on such a beautiful machine anyway?) yet it remains securely on the board at all times. It also covers the recessed edge around the keyboard completely. There is of course a difference in the tactile feel of your keys as you type but after 2 weeks I no longer even notice it.This is a MUST HAVE for all late 2008 MBP's in my opinion and think of the money you will save on airduster too.Protect your MBP today and it will thank you tomorrow.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not So Great! I watched youtube reviews, read reviews. Can't find anything negative about anything Moshi. This product is constantly lauded for it's thinness and can't tell it's there. Ok, I could definitely tell it was there. 1. It has a loos fit. 2. It is thick enough to destroy the tactile feel of the mac keyboard. 3. It moves around when typing. 4. It slows my typing and increases errors noticeably, even after a couple of days of use. The Good: it does seem to offer good protection to the keyboard area and keys. And does fit down into the grooved area around the keyboard, and doesn't fall out easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent coverge for MacBookPro I've been looking for a high quality keyboard covers for my MacPro. I have been dismayed from negative reviews I've seen on many of them and just stumbled upon Moshi protectors recently. Of course it is going to be overpriced but well worth the coverage in my opinion. Very fitted and does not interfere with typing in any way. Honestly, I've found I've preferred typing with the protector on. I spilt water on my bluetooth keyboard and it ruined it. If I would have had a Moshi protector on I'm sure It would still be in working condition. I will be ordering more of these for my other macs in the future. Thanks Moshi!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reccomended MacBook Air Keyboard Guard This product is superior to the one sold in the *. This keyboard protector stays in place when the laptop is closed and hardly ever needs to be reapplied. The previous one from the * would constantly stick to the screen when you open the computer up. For the price this is the best bet. The only negative said of it in my opinion is it makes the keys feel very plasticky, being that its made from a hard plastic. Other than that, this is my personal recommendation for any MacBook user for keyboard protectors on the market today. All of the other Moshi accessories for Mac are extremely helpful as well and high quality products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like it's not there I bought this because my last Macbook was destroyed by some tea. I've used my friends' keyboard covers in the past and they were all those silicone monstrosities. This thing is so thin that at first I thought I was picking up plastic that protects the cover when I lifted the cover out of its case. Super, super thing. At first it was sticky and irritating, but after about 2 weeks I really don't remember it's there. I worry sometimes about tearing it, but I don't know if this should actually be a concern. I use this on a Macbook Pro 13 inch. Fits very well, does not block back light. Looks like it's not there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would recommend to keep keyboard clean I got this because my husband starting eating over my computer and thus far I'm satisfied. I will say that the first week I didn't notice the oil marks that everyone talks about but now I can and I've realized it just means that you have to clean the protector regularly in order to stop it. I would say that if you think you have oily skin to maybe get a guard because a friend of mine has to clean his daily. Also the guard is not clingy so it will come up if you start pounding on the keys but other than that it stays put pretty well and now I can barely tell that it's there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ought to be bundled with MacBooks I'm a physician, and I believe the soap we use has always rapidly warn off certain Powerbook and, lately, MacBook Pro keys so that they become unreadable. Plus, of course, gunk inevitably accumulates and, on a laptop, can fall directly onto the circuit boards below. So when I recently made my most recent upgrade, to a 15 Quad Core i7 MBP, I was determined to get the best protection available. MacWorld liked the Moshi and, after trying several others, I agree. It's so thin and light I really don't know when it's on in terms of key feel or appearance (though I believe it does significantly soften key noise, which is nice), and there's no problem leaving it on when I close the MBP. The only con: I do forget it's on, and if I open it in any position where the keyboard isn't level, the Moshi will become dislodged. This is a minor problem; it's never slipped off while I'm using it, the fit is too snug for that, nor has it ever fallen off the keyboard completely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good, but... I have used this protector on my late 2011 MBP for over 3 years and it has held up very well. I clean it with dish soap or Simple Green and a microfiber clothe every month or so because finger oils build up and then imprint to the screen. It is not the fault of the Moshi protector--its just that there is such a tight tolerance between the screen and keyboard with the notebook is closed. I can't type as accurately with the protector on the MBP but I am not a speedy typist anyway and I am used to it. I do remove it on occasion if I am going to do a lot of typing with no danger of cookie crumbs around! This protector most definitely keeps stuff out of the keyboard and when I remove it, the keys still look brand new. I am ordering another for my MBP and put the old on my external keyboard. I gave it a 4 because of the finger oils getting on the screen
