The American Dynamics Intellex Digital Video Management System (Rack-mount, Premier, 500 GB) is a 16-channel system with a recording speed of 120 images-per-second at 2 CIF; it allows allocation of higher recording rates for critical cameras. With the patented American Dynamics Active Content Compression (ACC) technology, images can be compressed into files that are one-ninth the size they would be if compressed with MPEG-4 technology.

The Video Management System records video, audio, and text, and also detects alarms and events, besides having multiplexing functionalities. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is user-friendly, and can be operated by users of varying skill levels. Dome presets and patterns can be set from the desktop controls itself. The system can stream video from multiple cameras simultaneously; it allows you to configure specific types of events and cameras as email triggers.
