The Lowel Blender LED 1-Light Kit (120/240 VAC / 12 VDC) throws an entirely new light on the problems of shooting in mixed-light environments: when neither tungsten nor daylight are the right color, you just fudge it, right? Not anymore. The Blender makes it possible to fine-tune your lights to match (or contrast with) whatever light you're grappling with. With twin arrays of daylight and tungsten LEDs in one fixture, two simple dials make it possible to dial in the light to exactly the color you choose (from approximately 3000 to 5000K). This tiny unit (1.2 lb and small enough to hold with a pistol grip) puts out a solid 56W of light, and it's dimmable from 100 to 10%. It runs off a Canon camcorder battery sled (battery not included) or the included 120/240 VAC adapter. Also included are a 7'11" Lowel Uni-stand, a set of three different diffusers and a Lowel Slim Litebag for transporting the kit.

Tungsten light, daylight, or anywhere in-between is available with the Blender
Mix 2 arrays of high CRI LEDs to blend color to your choice in mixed light environments
The fixture is small enough for a pistol grip, but emits a surprising amount of light
3 diffusers are included for a variety of softening effects
Powered by easily available video camera batteries or AC

    Blender LED 1-Light Kit (120/240 VAC / 12 VDC) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expensive but a very good tool This is a quality product from Lowel. I have looked at several LED lights from a variety of ventors and this puts out a prttey good amount of light, in both daylight and tungsten. Pros Well built Nice set of diffusers Good kit with case The Light Blender function works well Con Cost - as with most LED lights No battery attachment on light I find that not having the battery holder on the light is a bit awkward. I like the fact that it can be powered by AC or DC power. Also it is nice you can power it, for a long time, off of your common camcorder battery - Canon, Sony or Panansonic. But when you have accessories and hang ons to your camera rig, having a light where the battery isn't attached to it, creates more cables and the need to strap the battery sled elsewhere. I've used this to light people in close quarters is a car. This makes a wonderful fill light! Otherwise, a great LED light winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy-to-Assemble & Light I use the Blender as a fill light for DSLR video interviews, and it came recommended to me (by two professional videographers) for use with the Rifa. It's incredibly easy to assemble and adjust, and it's light and easy to pack. It does exactly what it's supposed to, and I'm very pleased with the product. Because it's small, it cannot generally be used as a key light, unless you are looking for a very focused, evocative lighting style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High color performance - Low intensity I had hoped to be able to perform interviews with these lights and I guess I could under the right circumstances but these lights are best used as fill lights. Having said that, as fills, they can't be beat. I just wish they had more output and could be used in multiple ways.
