But how do you get the images to line up correctly? The Stacking Correction Tool consists of a camera that you supply (a webcam will do) and software you can download from NEC.
Each projector projects its (slightly distorted) test pattern and the camera feeds the image to your PC. The software analyzes and compensates for each projector's unique position. You only have to use the Stacking Correction Tool once as long as you keep the same setup. So the stacking function is ideal for permanent installations.
The NP2250 offers much more, however. It's network ready thanks to both an RJ45 jack for wired networks and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi for wireless networks. Each projector has its own HTTP page and a group of projectors can be managed from a single remote location. You can even have a projector email you a status report when certain events occur, like when the lamp is nearing the end of its life.
Unlike many projectors the NP2250 is backed up by a full line of five interchangeable lenses, from a 0.8:1 fixed short throw lens up to a 4.62 - 7.021:1 zoom lens. And this projector offers manual lens shift up to 50 percent vertically and 10 percent horizontally. Lens shift allows you to move the image on the screen without moving the projector.
