The INDURO GHB2 Gimbal Head is ideal for photography involving long, heavy telephoto lenses--in sports or nature photography, for instance. Working with a long lens on a standard ballhead or tilt head can be a real struggle, distracting you from the photography. The gimbal head makes the camera and lens seem almost weightless, with vertical and horizontal tracking of moving objects becoming relatively simple--a feat not possible with any other support system. An Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release plate is included. Fits size 3 and 4 tripods.

Gravity-balanced operation provides essentially "weightless" movement and positioning for long lens/camera systems
Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release interchangeable industry standard QR system
Oversized lock knobs provide secure locking of camera angle and rotation, even with bulky gloves

GHB2 Gimbal Head is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic for the money This is beautiful Gimbal head, exquisitely manufactured. The locks work well, Arca Swiss mount is great, but it has one small drawback. The swing arm has a small amount of friction when the lock is fully released. When a 15 pound camera rig, Nikon D4 and 400mm f/2.8 are mounted on this head, it is not really an issue, but the camera will not self level even if fully balanced do to this friction. My guess is the bearings are sleeve type and not roller bearings which would be smoother. But at this price...I would not consider any other gimbal head.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth and Stable I recently took the GHB2 (attached to an Induro carbon fiber tripod) out for the first time to shoot swans along the Mississippi river. My D810 and Sigma 150-600 sport attached quickly and securely via the Arca plate and clamp and the entire system provided rock-solid stability on uneven ground. The head pans horizontally with a beautifully smooth and effortless motion. The movement never feels loose, but provides a feeling of fluid control. My only negative comment is that the vertical movement is distinctly less smooth and, at times, jerks up or down causing me to lose focus or composition while tracking. This was my first experience with it however and I look forward to shrpening my skills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gimbal head I shoot birds and wildlife, and occasional high school sports. After getting a little hands-on experience with all of the top-tier gimbal heads and reading every review and testimonial I could find, I decided on the Induro GHB2. No regrets at all... this is one fine head. Materials - A+. Design - A+. Craftsmanship - A+. All movements are smooth, all lock-down screws are tight. It seems built to last a lifetime (I'll let you know in 50 years). There is no slop in any of the mechanisms. It holds a Canon 500mm f/4 with camera, battery grip and flash without breaking a sweat. Heck, it could probably support a 1957 Buick. Well, maybe not, but you get the picture (no pun intended. hmmmm... scratches chin 'you get the picture.' on second thought, pun intended... pun intended).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like It! The design and operation work as you would expect for a Gimbal Head. Workmanship is good. There is nothing that feels cheap or poorly made. It is not excessively heavy either. The ARCA clamp works very well. Easy attachment and removal to the Gimbal. You won't be dissatisfied. I am using it on a Manfrotto 055XPROB with Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS or Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS primarily. The largest/heaviest camera body is an EOS 1D3. These are EASILY supported with full range of motion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It delivers on all its promises Great build quality; well finished, and smooth operation. A VERY high quality product. I recently bought an Induro tripod and have been impressed by its top notch quality. When Induro introduced this gimbal head my experince with the tripod made the decison to purchase this newly introduced product an easy one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Gimbal Head I recently purchased an Induro Tripod and was impressed by its build quality and steadiness. The GHB2 Gimbal head is also a high quality and extremely sturdy product. It is very easy to adjust so that my 500mm lens & camera are perfectly balanced. It is very smooth and absolutely rock steady. I use it for wild life photography and it really delivers as promised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you use a medium to large telephoto lens, you need this! I spent hours looking at all the different model and read every review on each. The GHB2 seemed to be the one to get. I'm happy to report that it was an excellent choice. I've had it out twice with my 1DX and a Sigma 150-600C and it is solid and smooth. Went to shoot eagle on the Mississippi River with my friend who has a Wimberley, and side by side I could not tell a difference. I would make this purchase again. And, if you register the warranty online, you get a 10 year warranty instead of the advertised 5 year warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gimbal Head for Wildlife Photography I've been using the GHB2 gimbal head with the Induro 8X CT-314 tripod for over a year now with no issues. I've taken it into rushing rivers, 1-2foot deep snow, lugged it over my shoulder thousands of times while hiking around marshes, beaches, forests, parks and mountains. I use it to carry my 300mm f/2.8G ED VRII with TC-2.0E III teleconverter all attached to my D4s. It can definitely handle the weight and than some. To give you an idea, I'm planning on purchasing a newer, longer, larger super-telephoto, such as the 600mm f/4E FL ED VR which is only 3 lbs more than my current 300, and I'm not worried one bit that it will fall off the GHB2 and 8X CT-314. It is safe and secure when everything is locked and I have no doubt in my mind that the equipment will fall off. Now this doesn't mean I don't care about my gear and I'm reckless, quite the opposite, this is just to give you an idea of how sturdy the GHB2 is. If you are shooting wildlife; birds, bears, fish, whales then this is the gimbal head for you. Attach it to a sturdy carbon fibre tripod such as the ones from Induro and you have yourself a sweet combo. My favourite feature is the graduated scale to tell me at what height the lens will be set at. I find it comes in handy. I have not seen this on a Wimberley gimbal head but I could be wrong. The only downside that I find that this item has, is the weight. It's a bit heavy and I can definitely feel it as I place it over my shoulder when trekking around. I would highly recommend looking into the carbon fibre version of this gimbal head as weight savings is always a bonus, especially when it comes to holding massive lenses. But this gimbal head still gets a 5 star rating due to the quality, stability, smoothness and excellent price.
