The FreeAgent DockStar Network Adapter from Seagate is a desktop dock for Seagate FreeAgent Go portable hard drives and other USB drives. You can physically dock one FreeAgent Go and connect an additional three USB drives thanks to integrated ports on the dock. The DockStar allows you to access data stored on your drive over your local area network or remotely via the Internet.
Files are accessible via a web interface whether viewed locally or remotely. The adapter also appears as a local drive on your computer for drag-and-drop file access. A free iPhone app is available so that you have access to your content when you are out and about.
You can share files with family and friends with ease. Simply type in an e-mail address and they will receive a message with a link to the files and folders that you've chosen to share with them. You can also publish RSS feeds, allowing you to share files on social networking sites. For example, you can configure the DockStar to automatically publish new photos to your social network media page.
