Manfrotto MB MBAG70N overview

  • 1Description

Made of strong, ballistic nylon for resisting tears and abrasions, the black MBAG70N Tripod Bag Unpadded 60cm from Manfrotto is designed to store and protect an up to 26.7" select tripod. When not used for transporting a tripod, the bag may serve as a monopod carrier. For added impact protection the bag features a thermoformed, padded end cap. Easy-to-open – the bag has a quiver-style, full-length zipper with dual zipper pulls.

Intelligently designed, the tripod legs fit in the narrower end of the bag. This arrangement allocates additional room on the wide end for accommodating your tripod head. Carry or wear the bag with the included, wide shoulder strap. A small fabric loop on the unpadded end of the bag is useful for hanging the bag from a hook. To combat occasional precipitation, your MBAG70N bag has an external water-repellent coating.

  • Ballistic nylon with an external, water-repellent coating
  • End cap is padded to offer protection to the tripod head, the rest of the bag is unpadded
  • Full length zipper
Bag is slightly tapered to provide a better fit for a tripod with the head attached. The wider end of the bag accommodates select tripod heads without having to remove all the levers.
Carry with included shoulder strap
Compatible with select Manfrotto tripods with head up to 26.7" combined length

    Manfrotto MB MBAG70N reviews

MBAG70N Tripod Bag Unpadded 70 (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit! This sturdy bag fits my Manfrotto 190XB tripod, 701 HDV head, and 438 leveling head perfectly. I wasn't sure if it would all fit when I ordered it but it totally does. It only has padding on the ends, but that's ok because it keeps it small. Because of the way it opens is it's super easy to pull the tripod out of the bag. the zipper goes along the entire length of the bag and around the top (it's the red line)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect Fit. I have a Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod with a 488RC2 head and getting a bag for it was a bit of chance. Everything out there was either far too big, far too small, or so close to the dimensions of my tripod that I was certain any bag I got would be just too small enough where it wouldn't close...truly aggravating. Well, after measuring the tripod and head a dozen or so times, I took a chance and ordered this bag. ... it fit perfectly. About the only thing missing from it is a regular handle. Even that though, is solvable by just adjusting the shoulder strap to its smallest dimension. Also, while the bag is unpadded, the top and bottom does have some extra protection for the feet and head of the tripod. For $...and excellent buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very thin and light... I bought this bag for my good Manfrotto Tripod, based on the reviews, but those reviews were greatly affected by customer "null" who reviews multiple times, on many items! (16 of the 74 reviews here, are his). The case is very thin, and hard to open and close due to the weak zipper. I think this might have been intended to be given free with the tripod, but Manfrotto has changed over the many years that I'm buying their products. It may have been stuffed with bubble wrap for the stock photo, because that's the only way that I got it to hold that shape! If you are looking for value, the Ruggard brand cases and bags are far superior. I bought one at the same time, just in case and there is no comparison, and it was half the price too! As usual, the B&H delivery was fast, and well packed. I trust B&H for most of my Gear!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits manfrotto 190xprob and 324rc2 I have the Manfrotto 190xprob tripod and 324rc2 joystick head, and they fit snugly in the mbag70n. I had to tilt the head down a little bit but there was no struggle closing the zipper up. I like how the end cap (the only padded area) has a zipper that opens around. This opens a wide area that makes it easy to remove the tripod system (legs + head) with ease. I was contemplating about the mbag80n to make sure there's a lot of space but I don't need to. Keeping this bag small just to fit what I need lets me carry less along with my other gear. Also when I sling it on my back there's no part of the bag that sticks out when I carry it around (I'm 5'11'' if it matters for reference). I like to nit-pick sometimes when reviewing products but I don't see any problems with this bag. I just wish I had this sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product for the price. I really enjoy this carrying bag for its quality and usefulness. I store and carry in it a Manfrotto 190XPROB and an attached head Manfrotto 498RC2. They fit together perfectly in the bag, even with the head ball straight up. The quality of the fabric seems to be very sturdy and so does the strap. One thing I wish it had is the padding. It isn't padded so one might find it uncomfortable; I don't, i find it pretty comfortable to carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but you need to watch the feet... I have a Manfrotto 190ProB tripod with the 498RC2 head. Because I'll be working in some rather rough outdoor terrain, I added the spiked feet to the tripod: those rubber feet, while great for carpets and ceramic tile, seemed inappropriate for the floor of the Gobi! Unfortunately, they add just enough length to the tripod that it won't fit into the bag w/the head attached. My solution is to dismount the head for the longer portions of my journey, as it's far easier to take off and on than the feet are. Like other reviewers have commented: the bag is well-made, lightweight and attractive. Thanks, Manfrotto!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag with sufficient protection Used the bag for 190XB + 804RC2 head. It is a decent fit but the head of the tripod is s bit too large to fit, so I could only fit in two handles of the head and left the third. However, the head is fine without the 3rd handle. The bag looks very nice and the padding is thick and reliable for sufficient protection. Loving it...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Storage and Transport I was looking for a bag to put my new Manfrotto #294 CF Tripod into to transport and protect it. This bag was recommended as the proper bag to fit. Made well and the zippers work good. I have a QR ball-head on tripod. It is a tight fit lenghtwise and will really stretch out the bag if you leave the head in the upright position. If you fold the head over it fits very well. The carrying strap makes it really easy to move around and I don't worry as much about it being damaged. The same bag with a little padding in it would have been better, but this works very well for what I wanted it for...
