The Pelco EH3500 ImagePak Color Camera Kit (3-8mm Lens, Sun Shield) consists of EH3512-2 enclosure, CC3751H-2 camera, 13VD3-8 varifocal lens, and SS3512 sun shield.
The EH3512-2 is an indoor/outdoor 24VAC enclosure with built-in heater, blower and defroster. The thermostatically controlled heater activates at 50°F (10°C) and switches off at 80°F (27°C), while the defroster operates continuously. With die-cast and extruded aluminum construction and gray polyester powder coat, the corrosion-resistant enclosure can withstand operating temperatures ranging from -10 - 120°F (-23 - 49°C). The removable camera sled inside the enclosure can be easily accessed via the front hinged lid and the link-lock latch at the rear can be padlocked for security. The camera sled has multiple holes and can be inverted for additional camera elevation. Two adjustable (PG13.5) glands on the bottom make installation of power and video cables easy. The enclosure is CE-compliant, UL/cUL-listed and meets NEMA Type 4 and IP66 standards.
The CC3751H-2 digital CCD color camera has a 1/3" CCD image sensor and offers a resolution of 480 TVL. With lowlight technology and a minimum illumination 0.01 lux at f/1.2, the camera is suited for low-level night time surveillance, and the extended DSS (Digital Slow Shutter) settings improve the low-light performance of the camera. Four DSS settings reduce the frame-rate speed and increase the camera's sensitivity in low light conditions. As the number of field increases, the light sensitivity also increases. The camera accepts DC and video drive auto iris lenses or fixed/manual iris lenses, and has adjustable back focus to support all C/CS mount lenses. The 24VAC/12VDC compact camera has shorter overall length and can be used with Pelco's smaller enclosures like EH100, EH3500, EH2500, EH2020, and EH2100.
Automatic gain control adjusts the signal strength to maintain a constant brightness level. Automatic backlight compensation adjusts video gain to correct the exposure when the object being captured is in front of a bright light source. The camera also includes features such as electronic shutter control, line lock with phase adjustment, enhanced sharpness, and long line compensation.
The lockable thumb wheel is accessible from the top or bottom of the camera and makes for easy back focus adjustment. The easy-to-install camera has a quick-connect power connection, BNC video connector, and a removable mount adaptor for top or bottom mounting.
Connecting via the included 4-pin plug, the 13VD3-8 CS mount lens features a direct-drive auto iris and has 2.7x optical zoom (manual). The manual focus lens comes with a spot filter and has a focal length of 3-8 mm. A relative aperture size between f/1.4 and f/125 allows the intraspot-type lens to perform across a wide range of lighting conditions.
The SS3512 sun shield protects the EH3512 enclosure from direct sunlight and reduces the internal temperature by approximately 10°F (-12.22°C).
