The GraLab 171 Darkroom Timer does exactly what I need. It is well built, versatile timing up and down, and accurately times and turns off power to a light box exposure unit.  I am very pleased with the service from B&H and with this product.

This is a solid reliable timer, that we use in our manufacturing process, but I use B&H for my photgraphy needs and I knew exactly where to get a new timer to replace our old one.

What is the difference between this model and the Model 300?

They are basically the same. The one that is white the face glows in the dark except for the numbers and the black one the numbers and hands are what glows in the dark. My personally opinion for darkroom use is the black one. I find the other one to be most of the time too bright for darkroom use.
