The Pelco SD435-F1 Spectra IV SE Dome System is a video surveillance color camera offering 22x optical and 12x digital zoom. With just three main components - the back box, a dome drive, and a lower dome - the unit offers hassle-free installation and maintenance. The back box memory stores camera and dome settings. The lower dome bubble is designed to properly coordinate with the lens for clear images even at long focal lengths.
With 256 presets, the Spectra IV Camera offers a +/- 0.1° preset accuracy. An internal scheduling clock enables systematic scheduling of the presets and patterns.
The Spectra IV Dome System has an on-screen compass and tilt display feature that helps in determining positions. The window blanking feature allows up to 8 four-sided privacy areas to be set by the user. Eight programmable zones can be labeled with a maximum of 20 characters each or can be set to output blank video. The zone automatically adjusts in size as the lens zooms telephoto and wide. The 7 alarm inputs can be programmed to initiate a pattern or preset and, thereafter, return back to the pre-alarm state when the alarm is acknowledged.
Capable of smooth pans across a range of speeds from 0.1°/second to 150°/second, the Spectra IV Dome allows programmable zoom speeds. The pan/tilt speeds can be configured to decrease proportionately to the depth of zoom. The scan speed can be adjusted between 1 and 40°/second. Almost all directions around the camera can be covered with continuous rotation across 360°. The 180° 'auto flip' rotation allows the dome to reposition itself for continuous monitoring of any subject passing even directly beneath.
The Spectra IV Dome incorporates an EXview HAD (Hole-Accumulation Diode) imager that enhances light sensitivity in dark areas. This HAD CCD (Charge-Coupled Device) senses light near the infrared frequency region, invisible to the naked eye. The automatic 'white balance' feature further improves the image quality; taking a standard white color reference, the RGB (red, green, and blue) colors are adjusted to get good quality images in varied light conditions. Automatic iris control adjusts the amount of light passing through the lens. The automatic white balance and iris control settings can be manually overridden by the user for getting the best image.
Password-protection ensures that settings cannot be tampered by unauthorized persons. The Spectra IV unit also offers a camera title overlay feature with 20 user-definable characters. An RJ-45 data port allows setting up and updating the dome drive's software.
The Spectra IV Camera also has a 'freeze frame between presets' facility that ensures a seamless frame transition between presets. The intuitive on-screen programming display is available in 10 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Russian, Polish, Turkish, and Czech).
Surge protection ensures that the Spectra IV Camera is not damaged during voltage fluctuations. The integrated passive Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) circuitry makes for simple and efficient video transmission.
The Spectra IV is certified by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and CE as a Class B device.
