Designed for both visual observation and astrophotography the GPD2M Equatorial Mount from Vixen is designed to withstand years of heavy use. Its weight capacity is rated 50% higher than the GP2, and it comes with a counterweight and an illuminated polar axis scope. Featuring solid steel RA/declination axes and finely-machined brass worm gears that minimize periodic error, the GPD2's robust yet meticulously precise construction ensures stable and accurate tracking/slewing.
This kit also includes the dual axis motor drive D2M set and the GP Hal130 Tripod. The GP HAL130 tripod offers a secure and stable mounting platform for the entire set-up and the OTA. The D2M set provides motorized R.A. and declination movements at the touch of a button.
