Canon UV Haze Filter Reviews
Good Product

These filters have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a long, long time. As noted in other reviews, the packaging has some deterioration and there is air pollution buildup on the glass of the filter. Clean the glass and it's new. No deterioration of the metal ring. And B&H is selling them at the ancient price!

Was excited to receive canon product only to find the filter is extremely dirty. Appears used and the packaging looks like it's out of an 80s add which adds to that feeling. Fits nicely Hopefully it cleans up and functions good but expect better from brand name

question
What factors are considerations in deciding between Canon 72mm UV Protector Lens ($34) verses Canon 72mm Circular Polarizing Lens ($159) for the lens I just purchased from you, Canon EF 85 mm f/1.2L USM (order no. 502379850). Thank you in advance.
A UV filter is basically a clear protection filter that works well for protecting your lens from scratches and smudges. A polarizing filter is helpful when shooting on bright sunny days as it reduces reflection and glare, and it also saturates the sky and gives your photos a nice rich and dark blue color.
