This is an updated version of the FSL-1, with slightly larger dimensions and now both indoor and outdoor capability. The update was made in April of 2017.

The TecNec FSL-1 Triple-Sided, On-Air Warning Light is standardly mounted to a wall or other surface and has mounting locations on the back of its base plate for hanging.

how does this unit turn on/off.. is there a switch or do you have to manually plug and unplug it when not in use?

I will use this in a radio broadcast studio(s) and the "mixer board" supplies a relay closure when the mic is turned on so I use that to make a dc low voltage circuit to energize a Solid State Relay (SSR) (3 to 32 volts dc) and that relay completes the 110volt circuit to light this wall mounted outside the studio light. None of the broadcast suppliers have anything close to this classic fixture.
