the plate I received looks a bit different and has only one screw in there. How to add another screw in the plate?
Asked by: Ilya
On one end of the screw slot/groove, there are threads that accept another 1/4"-20 screw (you can kinda see them in the picture, underneath the screw on the right side). Simply screw the second screw into that groove till its neck sits loosely in the slot and you can move both screws around without issue.

question

this plate seem longer than normal. Does it allow camera to put off center on tripod to better balance a heavy lens like nikon 14-24mm, 2.8?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is an Arca-Swiss style plate and works with most of the Benro heads. It is a longer plate and is really used on a lens that has a tripod collar. This way as you mentioned to help balanced the set up on the head.

The two set screws on the other side, can they be removed and if so what is the size of the allen wrench?
Asked by: Martin
Staff, I am not talking about the screws that attach the base plate to the camera or lense mount, I am talking about the two very small screws on each end of the bottom, the seem to be stops of some kind, when mounted to a ballhead, the severely restrict the movement of the camera. I assume they can be removed (one or both) so the base Plate & camera can move in order to balance the camera & lense, am I correct
