Kirk PZ-137 Reviews
Great product
Made to Kirk's industry standard, no sharp edges and nice finish. Fits the Canon 7D like a glove. Very pleased with the value of the product
Good tight fit and consistent quality
Kirk stuff is just plain well made and trust worthy. You don't want to mess around with quick release platforms and plates.... and end up with messed up gear if something goes wrong. No worries with Kirk gear. It's built strong and made to last. My only dislike is that it adds to the thickness of the battery grip, when holidng the camera in vertical orientation. But when I'm doing a lot of handheld shooting where that might be a bit of a nuisance, it's easy enough to temporarily remove the Q-R plate. An unexpected benefit of using a plate like this with a Wimberley Sidekick (which is used with a ball mount and side mounts with long lenses) and shorter lenses, it's easy to vertically mount the camera so a bulkier and more expensive L-bracket isn't really needed.
