Works for SD Adaptors but not Sony SXS cards

I thought this would be a perfect solution after my original MacBook pro with the SXS slot died and I was relying on using my SONY cameras to offload footage any time I needed to use my SXS cards. I was able to plug in my SXS adapted cards using SD cards to connect with this device but not my actual SXS cards. This device almost serves no real purpose as those SD cards are easily removed from the adaptor and plug into any SD slot. The price is great, but if it can't be used with actual SXS cards it's basically just allowing you to offload SD cards without removing from your SXS adaptors.

Speed OK

Speed I got when transfering was about 19MB/s. I was using a Sandisk Extreme 32GB class 10 card. I've seen faster speed taking the SD card out of the LCR reader. However wanted to keep the SD card in the LCR reader. USB Cable a little short
