The Holophone H2-5.1 Surround Microphone captures audio in complete surround for broadcast, film, video recording, and sound design applications. The microphone system is designed to provide an easy, point-and-shoot method of recording surround audio and eliminates the guesswork out of positioning, technique, preliminary mixing, etc. The elliptical microphone head emulates the shape of the human head and the behavior associated with human hearing.
Six miniature microphone elements are built into the head for 5.1 channel capturing. A cable with 6 XLR microphone connectors is included and connects to any multi-channel field recording system, mixer, etc. The H2-5.1 is well suited for field audio and studio applications, while the 6 discrete channels make final 5.1 surround mixing and encoding relatively easy.
