I replaced my Giottos ball head with this head since I use my tripod more for video these days. This head gives very smooth movements with very little effort. The handle provides a spot for a wired remote. It accepts the ARCA quick release plates that I already have.

I wanted a light but smooth video head for travel and outdoor excursions. Fits the bill perfectly on my Oben AC-1300 tripod. My Sony PXW-X70 is a perfect fit.
