The Pelco Enterprise Client/Server Workstation comprises a rack-mountable PC, keyboard, mouse, and client/server software applications. Standard licensing for the client that can control up to 10 cameras is included in the pack required for the client workstation to connect to the server. Each workstation can support 2 standard VGA or Super VGA monitors (not included).
Use of 2 monitors helps you view the area of surveillance as well as control and operate the devices associated with the view. As a single integrated system, the VMX300-E can control up to 2000 cameras and can operate both analog and digital products.
With the simple, intuitive user interface and mapping configurations, the workstation seamlessly integrates cameras, monitors, switchers (CM6700, CM6800, CM9740, CM9760, CM9770, and CM9780), DX9000 series DVRs, transmission systems (NET300 series, NET350 series, NET4001A), and NVR300. You can add new device drivers without making any changes to the existing client/server applications.
The workstation also allows you to switch a camera to other monitors in the system, control DVRs/NVRs, program camera features, respond to alarms, and playback recorded video from DVRs/NVRs.
You can identify the location of cameras, domes, PTZ devices and alarms via facility maps. VMX300 allows you to drag and drop cameras to display windows from facility maps, and also to control dome and PTZ functions via the mouse. Having an immediate reference to events helps you take appropriate actions immediately. Logical links can be created between related maps of building floors, rooms, and hallways with enhanced view and details. Facility maps can also be imported from JPEG, BMP, or WMF files.
Flexible client/server architecture enables multiple users to share common resources. The unit can be installed in different configurations and IP video decoding allows client to display live videos on digital video windows only.
With an optional configuration, the workstation provides up to 4 analog video inputs on the rear panel, and the analog video display window allows you to view video from a camera, matrix switcher, or other analog video source.
