Vienna Ensemble PRO 4 from Vienna Symphonic Library is a mixing and hosting application, custom made for hosting Vienna Instruments, as well as 3rd party VSTi (PC) and Audio Units (Mac) instruments and effect plug-ins. The software works universally under both operating systems, even on cross-platform networks with multiple Macs and PCs, providing MIDI and audio LAN capability.
With the 64-bit version of Vienna Ensemble PRO you can load as many samples as your RAM will hold. Use it as a host on the same computer as your sequencer to integrate all your 64-bit and 32-bit instruments, or use it as a master-slave solution, even on cross-platform networks with multiple Macs and PCs. You can easily route the audio streams of a whole arsenal of computers back to the main machine.
Another major improvement of this completely revamped version is the Preserve function that allows you to keep your templates and instruments loaded while switching from one project to another. Other additions include the Optimize All function, full 64-bit support on the Mac and mixer automation. The software comes with the Epic Orchestra, a free Grand Orchestra Sample Pack that includes a selection of orchestral sample instruments and a customized project that can be used as a great starting point for other projects.
