    Transcend 16GB reviews

16GB CompactFlash Memory Card 400x UDMA is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 129.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good!! LOTTA research and I decided to give these guys a go! So far it DOES what it is supposed to! I haven't tested them(I got 2) extensively but I will update when I do. Good bang for your buck! One thing though, Don't be contrived into thinking you need UDMA and super fast write( speeds which these cards have)!!!! Read your camera specks. Example; I chose these because they read write at 400x(which is bout 60 MB a second)My camera burst up to 53 MB a sec. Therefore; I DON'T need(currently) a card that is faster and more expensive!SO, see what you need vs don't need .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best UDMA CF Card Out There... I use this card in my Sony DSLR A700 Digi-Cam. I use a Lexar Pro FireWire 800 UDMA Reader. This card is just BLAZING FAST!!! I have Sandisk Extreme IV and Lexar Professional UDMA CF (300X)Cards and this CF card Blows Them Away!!! I shoot in Raw and @ 5 Shots per second this card has ZERO LAG on all 15 Shots (Buffer Limit) and then it keeps on shooting at a slightly slower rate for 3-5 shots and BAM Another 15 shots fire off like a machine gun. Neither of the other 2 Brand Name Cards I use comes even close! Truly AMAZING... Then the upload speed to my PC is also noticeably faster as well. This Card ROCKS...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from capacity, speed, reliability & price I have used this in my Canon EOS 1D MkII and 1Ds MkII cameras for almost a year now, and it has always performed admirably. I used to stick with smaller cards, since I didn't want to risk having an entire job on just one card, but that was when I was shooting with a pair of 40Ds. The 1D/1Ds MkII can accommodate and write simultaneously to both a CF and a SD card. This enables me to shoot all day to one large card and have the photos instantly backed up in-camera to a second card. I backup my Transcend 16GB CF card to a Transcend 16GB Class 10 SD card, which is also serving me well. These cards currently represent the best combination of capacity, speed, reliability & price for my needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great affordable 16GB card I have used the same Transcend 16GB card except with a lower speed for over 2 years with no problems. Since I'm starting to do professional shoots, I decided it would be a good idea to buy another back-up card for my camera bag in case of emergencies. With a card this size, you never have to worry about running out of space (unless you're shooting a ridiculous amount of RAW files) I like that this is at a lower price point given that I'm just starting my business up and not made of money. I think this is a great card despite the price difference of the competing brands. Also, I can tell a huge difference in the writing speed coming from a 133x card to a 400x speed card. upgrade!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value, Great Product! I have tried all types of brands when it comes to Compact Flash cards, and to date have yet to find any which can compare to the quality and value of Transcend. I originally purchased a 16GB SanDisk Extreme Pro with my 5D MK II and was happy with the performance of the card-- but when this item went on sale, I figured it would be worth trying. Not only did the Transcend card fulfill my needs as a professional photographer, it did it at a fraction of the cost! I bought 2 more of these and a 32GB card immediately!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for shooting 1080p video! A little expensive, but the only only card I will use for shooting HD video when I need to write to CF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need the Speed for Raw Mode Previously, I owned a 133X CF, but when using a Nikon D300 in Raw mode, the image size was just too large for the camera to complete operations responsively. One of the most impressive improvements was reducing the camera turn-on time from over 3 seconds to under one second. I really appreciate the built in error correction code for data reliability. It must be difficult to promote that feature because it's invisible, so if you don't know what that is, it's worth understanding to appreciate the advantages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Value UDMA Card I was worried a bit about the quality of this card before buying it, because it's so cheap. But can not resist the price. After using it for 1 month, I can say it is a very smart decision. The card just rocks! The packaging of this card is nothing cheap at all, also come with a clear card case as well. The best thing about having a UDMA card at such big capacity is that I can keep shooting and shooting without worring about running out of storage space nor the camrera buffer. Unfortunately, the battery dose run out though...
